Hello there! Officer Shuichi here, giving you a lovely notice about our Halloween Guild event: “Scary Stories in the Guild Hall”. This event will be held all day on, October 31st, 2014 and will end that very night. *Midnight, CST ‘central standard time’* ''(Random intermissions may occur…)''
 +
 +
This event will be a nice event for all members who are interested in scary ghost stories or who are interested winning prizes.  How this works is… everyone who is interested in trying to win a prize must tell me a scary story.  The one story that stands out the most and gives me the creeps wins, ''(the prize judging will be held after the end of Halloween meaning after midnight)''.  Now you might be thinking, “There’s no way this is possible, horror stories over the internet?” But let me tell you, “it’s possible”, even though I take great interest in scary stories, my heart is very weak to the thrill. I do advise you, if you’re going to share a story, write it out before hand and copy and paste it into the chat for easy flow.
 +
 +
----
 +
The prizes of the top 3 stories will be awarded:
 +
 +
*First Prize: Black Kat Cowl
 +
*Second Prize: Gold Wolf costume set, with Gold Wolf Tail included.
 +
*Third Prize: (a choice between) Chroma Whelp Monster Pocket, Love Puppy Monster Pocket, or Mew Kat Monster Pocket
 +
 +
'''''(There will also be random prizes throughout the event which will be awarded by other Officers (including me) or Guild Masters.  And to all those who enter, there will also be a special spot reserved for you in a magical art project for the future of Resistance done by your lovely Officer Solonita.)'''''
 +
----
 +
 +
Anyway if you are interested in entering, I will advise you, there is an entry fee for each story (2000 crowns). With an entry fee, this also means you may enter as many times as you wish, as long as you pay the proper entry fee to me before you begin your story. '''''(Do keep in mind, all funds after the event will be donated to the guild for future upkeep fees.)'''''
 +
 +
Now, during this event, there’s also a penalty game.
 +
 +
'''***Listen closely for this will be your one and only warning.***'''
 +
 +
Since I’m the judge, I will not tolerate disturbances.  Meaning, those who speak during the story telling or be disruptive, will be forced to pay a 1000 crown penalty fee to the guild treasury ASAP. '''''(Talking in general, /sleep, /clap, /applaud, /me or any other expression is a no no!!)'''''  If you have anything to say, please hold it till after the story is completed, or send it via /tell messages. Don’t be rude to your fellow guild mates.  If you refuse pay the penalty fee, and continue to be disruptive, you will be removed from the guild and locked out till the end of the event and will be re-invited once the event has ended.  Also since this is a guild event, the guild hall will be closed to the public so no outsiders will disrupt our lovely ghost stories.
 +
 +
Now with that I wish you good luck and have fun! :D

*There will be a Participation Fee of 5000 crowns to raise funds for the Guildhall Treasury. '''This fee is to be paid to the contestant's referee before the referee starts their run unless otherwise told.'''
 +
 +
*Each party will have one Referee. The Referee's responsibility will be to enforce the rules, watch over the party and even be disruptive by trying to kill the participants.
 +
 +
*The run will be held in Tier 3, starting where ever the referee decides to hold their run. All tiers are welcome to sign up, but do keep in mind this is going to challenge even the best tier 3 players.
 +
 +
*Each participant will have a chance to win 30,000 Crowns each in the Preliminary Rounds. Those who survive the Preliminary Rounds will then have a chance to win 50,000 Crowns in our Final Round.
 +
 +
*All participants will start with a potential 30,000 Crowns prize in the Preliminary Rounds.
 +
 +
*For each death you take you lose 10,000 Crowns from your 30,000 Crown prize.  When your prize Crown reaches 0 Crowns,  you will be disqualified from the Tournament and will be awarded an honorary Ecto Drop as a consolation prize.
 +
 +
*Everyone must do their share of work, if the referee catches a party member hiding in a corner or empty room they will lose 10,000 Crowns from their 30,000 Crown prize.
 +
 +
*Players disqualified in the party may remain in the party or return to Haven. If the disqualified member(s) remains, they can thwart the other contestants' chance to claim their prize. It's okay, be a sore loser, take it out on the others!
 +
 +
*Tie Breaker: There will be those who succeed with some of their CE prize intact. In the event there is a tie we will use a Sudden Death Trivia Question Session to decide who advances.  Each tie breaker participant will be given Trivia Questions until they're answer wrong and only one remains. The victor will then move to the Final Round. '''*NOTE: Those in a tie breaker will still be awarded their prizes.* '''
 +
 +
*If you leave in the middle of a run, you will be automatically disqualified and will not receive any prizes.
 +
 +
*The winners from each party of the Preliminary Rounds will then move on to the Final Round.
 +
 +
*Breaking any of the rules will result in a 10,000 Crown deduction from the rule breaker's prize or disqualification from the tournament.
 +
 +
*All slayable monsters must be slain.
 +
 +
*Energy gates for treasure spots and danger rooms are exempt from this rule, but if they are opened, the party must face whatever challenges are to arise.
 +
 +
With this tournament we will be using the Sign-Up Sheet. In the past we have had several guildmates sign up for this tournament only to have been replaced with another guildmate. To avoid confusion, the Sign-Up Sheet will hold a list of names of guildmates who are interested in participating in the tournament. Parties will be made from this list of names in the order they signed up in.

Here it is Resistance, are you ready for a new event that doesnt involve '''MICROPHONES?!'''

Unlike all our other guild events we've had, this is actually quite different. What exactly do we mean this time? Well, we will be holding a Tournament.  This means, that all you members of Resistance can sign up and be pitted against one another in the clockworks to claim who is the best in the Resistance. '''''Hurry and sign up, spots are limited!!!!'''''

Now, you all are probably asking how this is going to work, well, read below and you will find out!

*The run will be held in Tier 3, starting at Depth 18, Emberlight Town of Gremlin Outcasts. All tiers are welcome to sign up, but do keep in mind spots are limited.

*Each participant will have a chance to win 300 CE each. Those who survive the Preliminary Round will then have a chance to win 500 CE in our Final Round and a special Shadow Lair run. ''[Key supplied from an unknown source.]''

*All participants will start with a potential 300 CE prize.

*Tie Breaker: There will be those who succeed with a full 300 CE. So how we've determined our tie breaker will be with a Sudden Death Trivia Question. Each participant will be given Trivia Questions until they're answered wrong and only one remains. The victor will then move to the Final Round. '''*NOTE: Those in a tie breaker will still be awarded their CE prizes.* '''

*Everyone must do their share of work, if the referee catches a party member hiding in a corner or empty room they will lose 100 CE from their 300 CE prize.

*Players disqualified in the party may remain in the party or return to Haven. If the disqualified member remains, they can thwart the other contestants chance to claim their prize. It's okay, be a sore loser, take it out on the others!

*Tie Breaker: There will be those who succeed with some of their CE prize intact. In the event there is a tie we will use a Sudden Death Trivia Question Session to decide who advances.  Each tie breaker participant will be given Trivia Questions until they're answered wrong and only one remains. The victor will then move to the Final Round. '''*NOTE: Those in a tie breaker will still be awarded their CE prizes.* '''

*If you leave in the middle of a run, you will be automatically disqualified and will not receive any prize.

*The  winners from each party of the Preliminary Rounds will then move on to the Final Round.

*Breaking any of the rules will result in a 100 CE deduction from the rule breaker's prize.

''' NEW RULE: NOTHING LEFT BEHIND! '''

*All members of the party must be alive before advancing to the next floor.

*All slayable monsters must be slain.

*All materials capable of being picked up must be picked up.

*All crowns and heat must be claimed.

*Energy gates for treasure spots and danger rooms are exempt from this rule, but if they are opened the party must face whatever challenges are to arise.

'''NEW RULES:'''

With the introduction of the new Guildhalls, in this Tournament, we will be implementing a Participation Fee of 5000 crowns to raise funds for the Guildhall Treasury. '''This fee is to be paid to the contestant's referee before the referee starts their run.'''

Also with this tournament we will be using a Sign-Up Sheet. In the past we have had several guildmates sign up for this tournament only to have been replaced with another guildmate. To avoid confusion, the Sign-Up Sheet will hold a list of names of guildmates who are interested in participating in the tournament. Parties will be made from this list of names in the order they signed up in.

For example:

*1: contestant-a

*2: contestant-b

*3: contestant-c

*4: contestant-d

*5: contestant-e

*6: contestant-f

*7: contestant-g

*8: contestant-h

*9: contestant-i

things will look like this:

party-1

*ref-a

*contestant-a

*contestant-b

*contestant-c

party-2

*ref-b

*contestant-d

*contestant-e

*contestant-f

should contestant-b not arrive for the tournament things will look like this:

party-1

*ref-a

*contestant-a

*contestant-c

*contestant-d

party-2

*ref-b

*contestant-e

*contestant-f

*contestant-g

''' Final Round Rules:'''

*Same rules will be used in the Final Round. This time instead of 300 CE, it will be a potential prize of 500 CE.

*There will be a final reward of 1200 CE given to the participant with the highest remaining CE prize above 0.

*In case of a Tie, the prize of the 1200 CE prize will then be split amongst the participants (so if you want the whole thing, take out the others)
