Not all accessories come in all color styles. Some accessories have slightly (or very) different forms, like the scarf or crest. Many have special effects for certain "special" color patterns, while others do not.

Finding Things
 +
----
 +
Sort the "form" column to find items that are loosely of a certain type. Type is unofficial and not part of gameplay, and mostly derrived from colloquial use and popular effects. For example, "vertical vents" are not called "ears," but a very large number of players use them to make cat, fox, wolf costumes etc. so they are tagged with "life." In short, this column is very subject to opinion, and is designed to sort things in a way that players want so they can make themed outfits.

Use the Control+F keyboard function to find accessories with certain characteristics and/or effects. Example: "burn" will find burning, burns, and so on. For lesser burning effects, try "smoking." "Lens" will find any accessories that are like Glasses, while "Eye Gear" will find less specific, but still glasses-like items. Read through the list to discern what terms and synonyms are used in an "unofficial description" of accessories - unlike most other items, accessories do not have official individualized tooltip descriptions in-game.
+
Keep in mind that most accessories are mysterious things. They don't have official tooltip descriptions in-game, so what an individual accessory is made of is speculation - for all we know, most of them could be holograms.

<!--editors: did I miss an admin forum post about accessory composition? Think there was one about monster pockets...Anyway, if I missed something, correct the above statement. I think they're holograms :P -->

If the type column isn't specific enough for you, worry not! We've tried to add lots of tags or "key words" into an unofficial description in the "Notes" column:

Editor Note Below is an elaborate sortable list. This show/hide contains information about how to use the list efficiently.

List

Accessories of distinct shape and consistent naming convention that come in several colors. Template:Showhide/Accessory

Outlier Accessory Lists

Due to the dynamic nature of Spiral Knights and how we organize things on this wiki, these lists are likely to move inventory upwards to another list, or even to the above main list, if the game releases more accessories that warrant such changes. Most of these items are released individually (along with related costumes), in pairs, or in small groups during promotions and/or events.

Unusual

These accessories have distinct special effects and/or behavior that help characterize their shape. These accessories have numerous color variations and/or very similar shapes available, and these colors are usually "special" or unusual color patterns and maintain consistent naming conventions.

Other accessories have special effects for special color patterns, like Dragon Wings and Wolver Tails, but these are also styled in many other color patterns and so are not in the lists below.

If many more color versions (especially standard) of the same shape of the below accessories are released, they will be compressed into single "form" pages (like "Bolted Vee" etc.) and probably relocated to the above list. For example, this has happened with Leafy Auras.

In the "Form" column: if there is a highly related form, it will be linked to, if not, then plain text is used.

Special

These accessories sometimes come in "balanced" pairs and are often named unconventionally.

Most of these behave like other accessories and/or each other, to some extent.

In the "Form" column: if there is a highly related form, it will be linked to, if not, then plain text is used.

If more versions of these are released, they will be compressed into single type pages and relocated to one of the above lists.

For example, there used to be only a few different kinds of parrying blade, now there are many and it is likely there are more to come.

Template:Showhide/Accessory

Unique

Extra special accessories that have truly unique forms (shapes). For each accessory in this list, there is only one color variation currently available.

If more versions of these are released below, they will be compressed into single type pages and relocated into one of the above lists.

The game has seen more variations of unique accessories released after an initial "unique" version. Example: Lovely Bent Vertical Vents.
