"Overshadow to outshine. "

We are named Dark Guardians right? So the name itself it is already an oxymoron. "Dark" has a negative connotation, but "Guardians" is more positive. So then the motto should somehow explain the guild name, but yet give us an identity. Hence, "Overshadow" fits "Dark", while "Outshine" fits "Guardians". When put together, it simply means that in order to stand out and maintain our presence, we need to rise above others.'''

Guild Summary

Who are we?

Dark Guardians is a very fun and active guild that is currently holding a lot of varied contests to see which knight has the most bragging rights. We have a great group of fun-loving players and are always looking to have other like-minded individuals join our unique and active community. We are pretty social and like to act silly sometimes, talk about pretty weird crap to have fun, but still we are able to become serious and address ourselves to some heavyweight issues (but why is the rum gone?)

In general, Dark Guardians...

  • Is a active and fun guild where people can do runs, explore Clockworks, help each other, socialize and chat about hmm.. whatever we want :)
  • We love to do a variety of runs, including all the bosses and shadow lairs, clearing clockworks , we are also dating with Basil to obtain recipes for members, occasionally do guild pvp for fun, as well as answering questions with our combined SK knowledge/experience on topics in-game or off
  • We do our best to keep the guild active and well-organised
  • We are looking for mature players with t3 access, who respect other player, are honourable and have social skills

To sum up, we are here to spend a nice time together. And you are reading this in order to find a good guild. It's hard to guess what you are exactly looking for. It's even harder to describe what can we offer. But experiencing something is worth much more than words and descriptions. Just try it, have your impact on the game and other people :D.

Benefits:

  • we love contests, with attractive prizes (ranging from 20k to 100k)
  • all prizes are donated by Guildmasters (want to know more? check our forum - http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/44053)
  • the number of members - 95+, 8-25 online 24/7
  • we have cakes! Nanomus is the best baker in the world, he can make cakes even without eggs, Laylla's enormous ego seems to be enough.
  • we make races (t1,t2,t3, bosses) with nice prizes (weekends)
  • a well-organized guild, promoting teamwork, fighting beggary, scammers, bad behavior
  • a nice, sociable, helpful, international community
  • a kiss from Laylla - everyday :D

Guild Members

(Please note that this list of members might not be up-to-date. If you help in correcting your name or if you can't wait for the next update, send me (Shadownightx) a mail and I'll make sure you get your share of the glory! xD)

How to Join

If you would like to join our guild please contact any officer/Guild Master

YOU MUST:

  • be atleast 4*
  • have a fun loving nature
  • be mature and reasonable indeed
  • be ready for an interview
  • and ask first (send an application by in-game mail to Laylla)

simple really.

  • We remove members, which are absent for 2 weeks, although with a heavy heart :(
  • Recruits are removed after being offline for 6 days.
  • If you have holiday/vacation/are busy with making a plan for World Domination- please inform us ! ;d

Rankings

  • The ranking system is determined by a number of factors, including the time spent in the guild, and attitude (it's important we respect each other here)

Promotion system:

  • Recruits

There is a trial period:

  • this affects every new recruit!
  • now recruit is recruit for 4 days - hahah it's his trail, let's have fun :D
  • he will be under observation of 2 officers and guild masters,
  • how does it look like? we're checking whether newcomers are not begging (can I have 100k crowns??)/asking stupid questions (where is the arcade? How do I use shield? aaw it works!)- noobs, also checking their activity (use of the guild chat, helping others cleaning clockworks)
  • also verifying the attitude (is he a happy player?), his skills (can he kill a monster from a distance with a fork?, some LD skills (can he capture all control points only by looking at them??)
  • recruits aren't allowed to participate in guild events.
  • promotion to member is a job of Laylla and Nanomus (we are going to have a conversation with the candidate to check whether he learned the rules)
  • if you act childish, don't have a sense of humour, burn our cookies, we may end up kicking you.
  • Members prove that the person has met the upper requirements and likes the same cakes as we do!
  • Veterans -(this is where it gets hard) 1 week in the guild, full 5* gear, and he/she will be tested in a T3 arena(solo) where the person cannot die, a officer or guild master will be there to observe only (an examiner is allowed to run in circles, if it doesn't distract you or just die instantly (although some examiners have beem spotted eating cakes secretly)), another way is going with a officer or guild master (the full party is allowed though, just an officer or GM has to be there) to FireStorm Citadel and beat Vanaduke without having to revive throughout the entire FSC. So when one wants to take an exam, he should inform any officer or guild master about it and start a party. After the exam is passed, both the examiner and a new veteran should write an email to Laylla or Nanomus to confirm promotion.
  • Officer - we have a set amount of officers (see the Teamwork section) so if u are in the guild for 3 weeks at least and have became a veteran the guild master and other officers will decide who should become an officer. Due to the fact that we work in teams, the person who is promoted to officer has to show and prove his/her skills needed for the particular team... To sum up, you should: be active, frequently take part in guild chat, skilled and mature (can you bake cookies soft and crispy?)
  • Guild master - well.. good luck being that (or bad - dealing with people isn't that easy) :D
