Lord Vanaduke is the Duke of the Almirian Empire, a world fractured and strewn across the Clockworks. His flag can be seen in the Jelly Palace, and Spiral Courts. He resides in the Firestorm Citadel, deep down near the Core.

He is intensely hostile to intruders into his kingdom, and assume all are after him.

Battle

The battle alternates between attacking his body, and his mask.

When walking around, he will swing his firey mace towards a player and cause a small quake on impact, forcing flaming debris to drop from above onto patches of ground with an orange glow. He will also dash towards a player occasionally. At the third and fourth body stages, he will also sometimes shoot up to four streams of fire that curve in random directions. This attack is not as strong as a Red Rover's, and with enough defense, can be blocked until it passes. Finally, he will rarely summon Fire Skeletons to come to his aid, normally only doing this at the start of a walking stage. The summoning will upgrade at the final stage to Trojan-like fire skeletons that are significantly weaker.

After dealing sufficient damage, Vanaduke will retreat to the back of the room and fall to his knees, and his mask will separate from his armor. During these bullet stages, two large red bullets will circle around the exact center of his mask (and two more will be added every bullet stage) and shoot smaller red bullets in a plus-shaped pattern. His mask will also shoot orange bullets in seemingly random directions.

Because his mask is aflame, the only way to damage it is to take a water ball from the front of the room, and hit him with it. Water balls, however, cannot pass through bullets, so you have to aim carefully with it. They do have a splash, and if you hit a bullet near his mask, it will still be extinguished for four seconds, at which point you can start to damage it. Orange bullets will stop spawning from his mask while its extinguished.

When the mask takes enough damage, it will unleash a large fireball that will begin circling Vanaduke's body as it reconnects to his armor (or is destroyed completely on the final bullet stage). This repeats three times, so three large fireballs will eventually circle Vanaduke in a large radius, and his dash attack becomes much deadlier with each one.

Vanaduke is susceptible to stun, poison, shock, and freeze. The three immobilizing statuses can be extremely useful to take a quick break from fighting Vanaduke himself, and deal with his extra spawns, or to find a teammate and pick them up, or even just heals.

Drops
