Poison is an underestimated status that not only stops healing, but also lowers the opponents attack and defense by 1/3. It's a good thing to run when you have this, or else you will become weaker and weaker to the venomous abilities.

==Basic Armor and Shielding==

The only shield that can help you until 2* is the Green Ward shield obtained from the Starter Pack. It has extremely high Poison Resistance and is a priceless artifact for any Poison Master.

Once you get to 2* you can actually start your journey. The Skelly Set has shadow, poison, and freeze resistance.  If you do choose to keep these, upgrade it to Scary Skelly, then Sinister Skelly, then to Dread Skelly.

You can also use the wolver set, which allows freeze protection, piercing protection, but no poison protection until 5*, but it does increase sword ability. If you are on this path, just upgrade the wolver coat and cap to Snarbolax Coat and Cap, which can only be made through sky sanctuary at the end of the shadow lairs.

Once you get to 3* it's much easier. The main poison entry, Chroma Set, can be acquired now. The Chroma Suit and Mask would be upgraded to Virulisk Suit and Mask, and then Deadly Virulisk Suit and Mask. These items give piercing protection and a very good damage bonus against slimes.

Another 3* is the Angelic Raiment/Helm, which protect against curse, poison, and shadow damage, but careful, it's flame-able! Also makes it easier to kill fiends as well. This can be avoided in it's 5* form, Armor/Crown of the Fallen, which replaces the weakness of fire with resistance but weakness to curse, and makes it harder to kill fiends, but increases attack speed. If you don't prefer this, you can keep the Angelic Raiment/Helm resistances and upgrade it to Valkyrie Mail and Helm.

Also there is the Drake Scale Mail. Upgrade the Drake Scale Mail to Silvermail and then to Radiant Silver Mail, which provide Piercing, Shadow, Poison, and Curse Resistance, and also a damage increase to undead. Although this seems brilliant, it has no helm to match! You will have to get a helm from a different set. A good one that might match is to choose a helm from the previous paragraph, one of the Angelic Set's Helms.

The only shield for Poison Masters is the Skelly Shield, so see the Skelly Set Paragraph to see the upgrade names.

A Rare Poison Hat that is almost impossible to get in-game is the Magikat Hat. It is a 3* Helm that has Peircing, Elemental, Poison, Curse, and Sleep resistance, but makes you weaker to Stun. If you find one, you are by far the luckiest knight in the game.

==Basic Swords==

There are only two swords that can inflict poison.

2* is the Cutter. It does not inflict poison until 4*, but it is fast and deadly. It goes Cutter, Striker, Venom Striker, then Dread Venom Striker. The only other sword that can inflict poison is the Sealed Sword's charge attack, which is a 3* sword that can be obtained for 20 Jelly Gems, that are a token for beating the Jelly King.

==Basic Guns==

There are also only two guns that can inflict poison.

First there is Auto Gun, a 2* gun which doesn't inflict poison until 3*. Upgrade it to Toxic Needle, then Blight Needle, then Plauge Needle. Those three recipes can be obtained through krogmo coins in Lockdown on Blast Network.

The second is the Catalyzer, a 2* gun that won't inflict poison until 3*, and can be obtained with 15 Bark Modules, a token earned from defeating the Roarmulus Twins Boss for 15 Tokens. Upgrade it to Toxic Catalyzer, then Virulent Catalyzer, then Biohazard.
