News

• Phantomuk has been promoted from Officer to Guild Master! Yayyyyyyy! Phant's been a long-time member of Tectonic now and has shown to be frequently helpful to other users within the Guild, including welcoming new ones. Be sure to congraulate him on his promotion when you next see him online!

• Congratulations to San-Serif for becoming our new 2nd Officer! Please congratulate him on the promotion within Tectonic Guild.

• Zenihdrol has been promoted from Officer to Guild Master! Please congratulate him on the promotion and acknowledgement of his service and loyalty to Tectonic Guild.

• Phantomuk has made a welcome return to us after an absence and has been reinstated as 3rd Officer due to personal skill, age and history with Tectonic.

• Crystal Energy prices are at an all time high! Recently crystal energy, or "ce" as it's known by the traders that hang about the auction houses has reached epic costs. As a result, players (especially noobs) are suffering and have difficulty upgrading their weapons and armour to improve there abilities in the clockworks. Tectonic advises making very careful selection of the items you wish to upgrade. You can always ask the advice of more senior members or a Officer/Guild Master. We would also advise you to save your crowns, and by doing so, will force the price back down as no-one will be buying the high priced "ce".

• Senior members can craft items for you, if give them the relevant crowns and materials as they may have already purchased the recipe you need saving you the cost of buying it. (if anyone in the guild scams you, tell an Officer or a Guild Master) It is advisable to ask an Officer or a Guild Master to craft for you, if you do not know the other guild member well.

Guild Introduction

• I created this guild after being a member of other guilds and finding that they had an elitist attitude, meaning if you didn't have all the best gear, you weren't welcome. So I created Tectonic that welcomes noobs and pro's alike.

How to join

• Tectonic is open to anyone that can speak English and has some level of maturity. Guildies should have a friendly, helpful manner and enjoys the social aspect of Spiral Knights as much as simply "grinding" in the Clockworks. We also prefer if new players have a minimum of a 2* gear set, as this prevents new players taking up space that a more frequent player could be using. It's not hard to get a 2 star set. If you play daily, you can acquire it in 2-3 days of play or may be donated by a generous user in the Guild. (But no begging!)

Ranks and how to acquire them

• Everyone joins as a Recruit.

To be promoted to Member

• Defeat either the Jelly King or the Roarmulus Twins once after joining the Guild. Alternatively, acquiring a full 4 star set of gear (which includes a Helmet, Armor, a Shield, and two weapons) also qualifies for a promotion.

To be promoted to Veteran

• Defeat Lord Vanaduke once after joining the Guild. You are also eligible for a promotion if you acquire a full 5 star set of gear. Again; Helmet, Armor, Shield and two weapons.

Note: If you meet the equipment requirements to be promoted to either Member or Veteran, feel free to request a Loadout inspection from a Guild Master or an Officer, or send an in-game mail to one if none are online. But make sure you have Full Inspect enabled!

To be promoted to Officer: Officer position can only be offered by a Guild Master, and only if there are spaces available. Officers must have been shown to be mature, are a Veteran in the Guild, are seasoned players, and have shown to be helpful to lower ranked members, i.e. answering questions, raising morale within the guild and be regular/daily players. Taking on an Officer role requires that daily tasks need to be completed which include, but are not limited to:

• Routinely checking the events log upon each log on, to see if any Guild members have achieved the Boss requirements for a promotion.
• Inspecting members that are requesting promotions based on gear loadouts.
• Checking the guild list for inactive players once per day and removing any that are dormant.

Guild rules

• No begging or asking for loans of any kind. This includes asking for small amounts of free Crystal Energy.

• Guild channel chat is "family/G/12" rated. Meaning mild adult words are tolerated, but no swearing or talking about anything sexual, or about drugs.

• Respect all members. Treat other members as you would like to be treated.

• Speak English in the Guild channel. We have members from all over the world, but English is the acknowledged shared language in the Guild.
  • This includes Textspeak. Please refrain from using Textspeak when talking in the Guild channel as it's hard to understand for those whose English isn't their native language.

• Parties must be open to Guild members of the same rank at all times. Members of a lower rank may only join higher ranked parties by invitation.
  • Additionally, you must not invite others into your party simply to relieve a Team Wipeout (the event where everybody in your team is knocked out).

Reasons to be removed from the Guild

• Not following the Guild rules.
• Having the rank of Recruit and being inactive for 3+ days.
• Having the rank of Member and being inactive for 7+ days.
• Having the rank of Veteran and being inactive for 28+ days.
