Monster sind die bösen Kreaturen, die in den sich dauernd verändernden Ebenen im Uhrwerk zu finden sind. Sie variieren in Stärke und in Intelligenz. Monster versuchen die Spiral Knights daran zu hindern, dass sie die Geheimnisse und Schätze in der Welt unter Cradle entdecken.

Zur Erleichterung der Einteilung der Monster sind diese in mehrere Familien aufgeteilt. Diese Aufteilung gibt verschiedene Verhaltensweisen , die Art der Attacken, die Schwäche und eine bestimmte Art von Items oder Schaden Typen.
