''Totem Poles'' are the status indicators behind a [[gate]] in the [[arcade]].

During construction, they indicate which [[blocks]] have been placed by [[gate construction]], as well as indicating the relative amounts of minerals by the height of the 5 bars of color.

After a gate opens, they have a color representation of the [[floor]] types, and a width indicating the number of [[levels]] at each floor.
