== Characteristics ==
The Sanctuary is a tranquil area of the [[Shadow Lair]]s, that is entered from the [[Unknown Passage]]. It has been called "a calm in the storm" and "a fleeting dream, beyond the grasp of [[The Swarm]]". 

Upon entering the Sanctuary, one immediately has the opportunity to pick up a 5-star Shadow Material, based on the Shadow Lair just completed:

*{{material|Celestial Ore}} after the [[Ice Queen]]'s Shadow Lair

===Sanctuary Alchemy Machine===

The Sanctuary Alchemy Machine is an [[Alchemy Station|alchemy station]], akin to the [[Krogmo Alchemy Machine]]. It allows you to craft preset armor pieces, which can be made only at the machine. Crafting via the machine requires the materials and precursor for each item, in addition to the usual 5,000 crowns and 3 Eternal Orb of Alchemy.

===Echo Stone===
The final point of interest in the Sanctuary is an orb of light that explains some of the backstory of the Shadow Lairs and the Swarm. The backstory presented depends on which Shadow Lair was completed. An echo stone contains a permanent record of this backstory. The player must interact with the orb to obtain the echo stone, which can be listened to at any time via the [[File:Icon-artifact.png|16px|link=Artifact]] [[Artifact]] tab of the player's arsenal.
