In the new battle sprite system, favored foods are required for leveling up. These favored foods can be crafted only using red, yellow, or purple minerals (depending on the type of sprite). For example, crafting 3-star food for a Maskeraith requires 15 purple minerals (Dark Matter). Hence, minerals are now a bottleneck for many players, in how quickly they can advance their sprites.
It would be nice if we could trade minerals, so that a Drakon owner could use the red minerals of a Seraphynx owner, who could use the yellow minerals of the Drakon owner. Minerals can't be traded, but the food that we craft from them can be traded. We should form a cartel, in which we agree to make such trades for each other.
The procedure is simple: When you are picking up minerals in the Clockworks, you select the largest red, yellow, or purple mineral, breaking ties arbitrarily. For example, if you are hunting for yellow minerals, and you find a small yellow mineral and a large purple mineral, then pick up the purple one. Later, when you need food for your sprite, you arrange a trade with any participating guildie. For example, you say, "I need four 3-star yellow foods; I can give purple but not red."
Once you've arranged the trade, you have effectively converted all of your purple minerals into yellow. In other words, when you picked up that large purple mineral, you were effectively picking up a large yellow mineral. This is good for everyone involved. However, for this scheme to work smoothly, we need a substantial body of guildies online, finding minerals, and following the procedure. We also need a healthy balance of the various sprite types. If you interested in participating, then add your name to this chart (or send it to Donkeyhaute for addition).
