Vise
Vise-Mugshot.png
NPC: Gremlin
Role(s):
Primary Location(s):

Vise is an NPC.

Appearance

A Gremlin that looks like a Ironclaw Thwacker with a modified and recolored hood of a Darkfang Mender. Uses a modified Rugged Robo Wrecker to unbind to player's items. Wears an unique mask that shows "big eyebrows" and a "big beard" and you can only see his cyan right "eye" opened.

Notes

This character has been in the game since release 2011-07-20.

Indicated on the minimap by the Anvil icon except in the Interface-icon-PvE.png Expansion Mission: Operation Crimson Hammer's lobby where it shows the Alchemy icon.

Vise is a Gremlin Unbinding Smith in the Bazaar district of Haven. Vise provides a special service to knights, allowing them to unbind any equipment 1-star or greater that is not costume gear.

On July 23rd, 2011, Vatel was moved closer to the Arcade entrance. This was due to changes made in relation to Punch, Vise, and release 2011-07-20:
"Disclaimer - Punch and Vise wanted me to state for the record that they did not 'blow up' Vatel's recipe shop, but rather that it 'exploded while they were inside it.'" - Nick [1]

This character can also be found in Punch & Vise's Workshop, which is a room that can be installed in Guild Halls.

In the Operation Crimson Hammer lobby, Vise reveals that he knew Warmaster Seerus and had a history with him.

Vise appears to have a Scottish accent.

In the in-game files, the working name of Vise appears to be "Beard" and the name of Punch is replaced with "Smirk". These names are possibly only working names that never made it to any future versions of the game.

Wares

Vise allows knights to unbind equipment and armor in exchange for energy. Zero star items may not be unbound. The appropriate ticket will automatically be selected once the knight picks the item they want to unbind.

Name Energy
Use this ticket at the Unbinding Forge to unbind a 1 star item. Unbind 1 Star Ticket 100
Use this ticket at the Unbinding Forge to unbind a 2 star item. Unbind 2 Star Ticket 200
Use this ticket at the Unbinding Forge to unbind a 3 star item. Unbind 3 Star Ticket 600
Use this ticket at the Unbinding Forge to unbind a 4 star item. Unbind 4 Star Ticket 1800
Use this ticket at the Unbinding Forge to unbind a 5 star item. Unbind 5 Star Ticket 4000

Note: Unbinding equipment will remove all heat from that piece of equipment, resetting it to level 1.
