|description=[[Arkus]], a fallen ex-knight of the Spiral Order. Despite the fact that he seems to have transformed into a [[Trojan]], he retains the attack style of a spiral knight. A few aspects differ him from a regular T3 Trojan:
+
*Long weapon reach - this Trojan's attacks seem to be able to reach twice as far as any other regular Trojan's.
+
*No immunity to frontal damage - you can hit him from any side, but the frontal damage is substantially reduced.
+
*Wider array of possible attacks - a normal Trojan has only three attacks available. This one has five.
+
*No abrupt dashing - Arkus is not capable of dashing, unlike other Trojans. He is also incapable of buffing his attack power.
+
*When he is defeated, he "revives" like a regular Spiral Knight; however he can only do this twice, resulting in the fight taking place in 3 phases. Each time he revives, the crystal on his black glows more fiercely, two more Shadow Orbs encircle him and [[fiend]] family monsters appear to aid him (some [[Beryl Greaver]]s and a [[Silkwing]]).

Like a normal Battlepod, it is equipped with many weapons made by Grinchlins to exterminate any that trespass Mount Krampus. This Battlepod has a protective force field that can be destroyed by damaging it enough, leaving it defenseless towards attacks. Its mouth will close once the field's fragment is down. However, this Battlepod will regenerate the force field in a short time, so it's essential to attack quick before it regenerates. Damaging it enough will destroy the Battlepod.

Icon Map Boss.png

A Boss is an unusual monster that appears in a special location in the Clockworks. There are four main bosses, which appear at the end of each tier. More powerful versions of the four main bosses appear in the Shadow Lairs. There are also various mini-bosses scattered throughout the clockworks.

Bosses are much stronger than other monsters, and defeating them often requires clever tactics, such as disabling the boss' defense before attacking. Most bosses share the same weaknesses and resistances as their monster families.

The four main bosses drop tokens, which can be exchanged for rewards at Brinks. The Shadow bosses drop more tokens than the regular bosses. The mini-bosses do not drop tokens, although some of them offer other rewards.

Abilities

  • Shield (Passive)
Location Drops

Description

The mini boss of Ghosts in the Machine. It is a large, centuries old Battlepod-like enemy that is fixed to the chamber's floor. When it's active, it will go through three phases if enough damage is dealt per phase. Tendril-like "wires" constantly erupt out of the ground, target the player, and stab downward, burrowing back into the ground. These wires have health, but they appear and disappear so quickly that fighting with the intent of damaging them is moot. Shock spheres orbit The Big Iron for most of the fight. The Big Iron fires a number of laser beams in random directions. The Big Iron can only be damaged when it's mouth is open. It's mouth will open after it fires lasers a few times. The number of times differs per phase:

  • First phase: Electronics glow yellow. summons a monster spawner in the upper left, which can spawn one Surgebot, Volt Knight or Voltrode at a time. Up to ?? wires may appear.
    • The Big Iron fires 2 lasers at once, 3 times, before its shield deactivates.
  • Second phase: Electronics glow orange. Adds another monster spawner with the same behaviour as the first to the upper right area of the fight. Up to 4 wires may appear.
    • The Big Iron fires 4-6 lasers at once, 4 times, before its shield deactivates.
  • Third phase: Electronics glow red.
    • The Big Iron fires 6-8 lasers at once, 5 times, before its shield deactivates.

After dealing enough damage to the Big Iron in the last phase, it shuts down and gets destroyed, but for good this time.

  • Shadow Spikes Attack shadow icon.png
Location Drops

Description

Arkus is a fallen ex-knight of the Spiral Order. Despite the fact that he seems to have transformed into a Trojan, he retains the attack style of a spiral knight. A few aspects differ him from a regular T3 Trojan:

  • Long weapon reach - this Trojan's attacks seem to be able to reach twice as far as any other regular Trojan's.
  • No immunity to frontal damage - you can hit him from any side, but the frontal damage is substantially reduced.
  • Wider array of possible attacks - a normal Trojan has only three attacks available. This one has five.
  • No abrupt dashing - Arkus is not capable of dashing, unlike other Trojans. He is also incapable of buffing his attack power.
  • When he is defeated, he "revives" like a regular Spiral Knight; however he can only do this twice, resulting in the fight taking place in 3 phases. Each time he revives, the crystal on his black glows more fiercely, two more Shadow Orbs encircle him and fiend family monsters appear to aid him (some Beryl Greavers and a Silkwing).

Description

The miniboss of Summit. Though sometimes labelled "Krampod"(likely a portmanteau of a reference to the Krampus by blending Krampus' name and this Battlepod's name together) by some people, this large Battlepod blocks the path to the loot boxes at the top of Mount Krampus.

Many monster spawners appear during the battle to aid the Battlepod. They vary between Slush Puppies, Rocket Puppies, Grinchlin Thwackers, Grinchlin Stalkers, Darkfang Menders and Humbugs.

The entire battle consists of only one phase with a reasonable amount of health for a miniboss.
