Officers, here's my proposed message text. Cut it up as you like; this is more your project than mine (although I will donate stuff). I've put in only one question, just because I couldn't remember/think of any other good ones. I don't think we should ask about how many prizes to give, or how large each prize should be, because the answers will be "many" and "huge". But maybe you are more inventive than I am. Even if so, I recommend that you ask only a few questions that are really important. Survey response rates drop quickly as the number of questions increases.

Anyone is welcome to contribute to the prize pool, although you are not required to contribute as this is a free event intended to gather members together.
