Prestige Missions
for some reason, the monstrous research in the prestige missions have different items needed as the ones shown on here. can anyone confirm that they are random for different players? --Death8338 01:47, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
- I don't think they're different per player, but they are different per rank; you get new prestige missions immediately when you rank up. --Antistone 01:54, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
Prestige "Monstrous Research"
I have one for 3 shards, but different colors than the ones listed (blue, light, dark), but also for 35 prestige. Should I create a new section? I would think not - maybe say 3 of the following 5 materials and list all the shards?
Also, how should we order them? The rank missions are self-explanatory, but what about prestige? My thought would be (within the clockworks and material sections separately) first by prestige (lowest first?), then alphabetically. Jlh0605 18:32, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
- Comment - My "Monstrous Research" for tomorrow includes a Meteor Mote - 4*. Currently, the wiki says 3*, but am I the only one getting 4*? Jlh0605 00:21, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
- Mine is Trojan Horseshoe, 4*. The way it looks, there are about 3-5 different missions labelled "Monstrous Research" out of lack of creativity. I am currently keeping a text document containing all prestige missions day-to-day for all ranks I have access to(thanks to alts) and I'll eventually find out how Monstrous Research missions work, as well as whether or not missions cycle or are assigned randomly.
- In short, the answer to your question is that the 4* MR mission hadn't been entered yet. Alphappyalt 05:01, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
rescue camp
someone please change the rescue camp missions.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Leafblader (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~
- a) I don't see what needs to be changed (I admit I'd need an alt to investigate this); and
- b) if you can change a Talk page you can change the Wiki. Please don't make senseless requests, and remember to sign your comments. Beware of whitespace when using Wiki markup. --Scribo 07:15, 30 July 2012 (UTC)
Adding a New Listing for Energy Cost
Do you think it would be a good idea to add a listing of the minimum energy costs to do that mission? I tried to join someone doing the Shadow of the Beast mission from the beginning, but then when it was boss time, I was short energy, so I ended up wasting my time and energy trying to do a mission that I wouldn't of been able to finish in the first place. I don't know about some people, but I want to be free-to-play as much as possible, and with 100 mist max you have to ration these things out, since I have yet to earn enough crowns to afford 100 CE yet. If I had known I would of needed 30 energy, I would of waited instead of trying to do it. --DefEdge 15:41, August 2 2012 (CST)
- Enter the Ready Room of the mission, which does not require energy, click the options icon in the upper left, then click Gate Map. There you will see how many depths the mission has. Alphappyalt 21:22, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, but at the time I was playing, I did not know this, and was only referring to this wiki listing for the missions. Maybe it would help complete the wiki a bit more to include the minimum energy cost on the table? I'd think about doing it myself, but 1)I don't know how but could probably figure it out, and 2)It would probably be removed for being an unauthorized edit. I also don't have access to the later missions, my recent one being the Shadow of the Beast mission, so the list would be woefully incomplete. --DefEdge 16:33, August 2 2012 (CST)
Prodigious Missions
I won't have been the first to notice just how long and unwieldy this page is. However, I really think we can improve it. While I'm no great shakes at templates, I think if the Mission List template is modified, we could make it a great deal more readable. I'm proposing that we:
- use showhide or collapsible tables to break down the Rank missions and default all Mission List tables to hidden/collapsed; and
- remove any superfluous information. I know having a page full of lists and tables might seem boring, but there's really no room for extraneous text like strategy guides. I'm not against them, this just isn't the place to fit them - I'm all for having mission run-downs, if someone wants to start a separate page.
I'll be trying to work out a format that won't bork the page, and hopefully retain or improve readability. Any suggestions/technical assistance will always be appreciated! --Scribo 17:07, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
- Still a lot of editing needed, but I've used three main collapsible templates: showhide, SKWindowsmallcollapse and SKWindow2. The SKWindow options have trouble nesting the Missionslist template, ending up gappy and compressed in size (I can't even get SKWindow2 to sit correctly, as you can see).
- Really, I think showhide is convenient, reliable, and looks fine. May put some stats lists into tables, and the Prestige Missions rotation table into a showhide table. Meanwhile, feel free to discuss, digest, dissect, et cetera, et cetaree! --Scribo 19:20, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
- I think the danger missions should get their own page--Trying 19:29, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
- Sounds good, we could have Missions and List of missions link to...what do you think: "Missions Guide"? I've always wondered about something like that. If it's mainly a few Prestige Missions (and perhaps some details on Expansion missions), I think it would be a workable page. --Scribo 09:35, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
- Prestige missions don't need a separate page since they're pretty much the same as the clockwork levels except for some minor differences. The expansion missions already have their own page. Danger missions are the only things that need a page.--Trying 13:26, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
- Ah, I missed that link to OCH in the text. So instead of a guide, you're thinking something like a Geography page à la OCH, FSC, RJP &c. (having had a look for comparison, they too need a little work)? In which case, I'd be all for Legion of Almire, Compound 42 and whatnot having their own pages (although I imagine they'd be fairly short ones). (One of the main reasons I removed the original sections was that they were mainly a mix of strategy/walk-through advice, which is why I thought you were leaning towards a guide.) --Scribo 05:07, 26 August 2012 (UTC)

- Just leaving a note to say that the wikitable for the Prestige Missions rotation wouldn't play nice with the showhide table, so it's earned itself a somewhat conspicuous SKWindow2 template (because it was still a bit too long to leave up there). Also, finished sticking everything else inside in a showhide table. Not the nicest table, but the most effective. --Scribo 13:29, 26 September 2012 (UTC)
Double handling
The section preambles on this page are nice and informative regarding game mechanics; the Mission page overviews are nice and neat. But I can't let that lie as List of Missions is really just a reference list, the code is still very long (I wouldn't want that to prevent others from being able to edit it in browser), and it seems too much like double-handling.
My first instinct is to move most or all the preamble to Missions.
Thoughts? --Scribo 05:07, 26 August 2012 (UTC)

I've added section about Kataclysmic Confrontation event missions similar to Total Caketastrophe!. Below is an alternate version which shows separetly each mission of this event. I think it might be better. Merethif 00:20, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
Kataclysmic Confrontation: Kataclysmic Confrontation
During the Kataclysmic Confrontation, there are three special event missions that cycle with regular Prestige Missions. Each day only one out of those three event missions is available. Those missions did not replace either of the other prestige missions and could be completed in addition to them.

That Mold and Black Magic | Someone or something has summoned a horde of cursed Black Kats into the Clockworks. These shadowy beasts hunger for arcane power and raided the Moorcroft Manor Archives' precious collection of magical grimoires.
In the wrong hands these ancient tomes could be catastrophic, but it turns out that Black Kats can't read, so they instead decided to just eat them. The residents of Moorcroft Manor would like you to retrieve the Ancient Pages of the magical grimoires that quite likely reside in the stomachs of Black Kats. We'll leave you to figure out just how to recover them... For this mission, journey into the depths of moldering sewer where intel has located a black kat nest. Recover those Ancient Pages and return them to Moorcroft Manor! |

Rank Missions update
Shouldn't we update the Rank Missions section in terms of the rewards part? I've been looking at my mission interface and I noticed the later mission ranks don't include the orb of alchemy or the fire crystal rewards in the Wiki. -DemonSonoCurrent Discussion
