Guilds are associations of people with the same goal or objectives. Currently in spiral knights, joining a guild gives you access to a special guild hall where all members can go to meet, regardless of what town they are in. Guilds also have their own chat channel that can be used anywhere.
Cost of guild creation: 500 Energy & ____ Crowns
Special items available in guild shops: Trinket slots, Weapon Slots
Ranks: Guild Master, Officer, Veteran, Member
