Various promotional items have been released throughout the history of Spiral Knights to further encourage Energy purchases, expand the current appearance selection for knights, run alongside a particular real-life or ingame event, or simply as goodwill from the developers. Most of these items are tradeable, but none of them give any sort of gameplay advantage.

Rose Regalia
April 29th 2011 to May 9th 2011
This was the first energy promotion in Spiral Knights. Players would automatically receive one of six possible Rose Regalia costume pieces when purchasing energy.
Rose Regalia Redux
September 6th to September 19th 2011
An expansion to the original, the Rose Regalia Redux introduced three new colors.
Dragon Wings
February 1st 2012 to February 13th 2012
The Dragon Wing promotion ran alongside the Chinese celebration for the Year of the Dragon.
It was the first promotion to feature Shadow themed accessories.
This also introduced a standard set of themes for future new model accessories to be released in: All standard themes plus four rarer themes: Divine, Volcanic, Prismatic and Shadow.

Love Aura
February 14th 2012 to February 19th 2012
The Love Aura was a promotion that ran alongside Valentines Day.
It delivered a Love Aura with select Energy Purchases.

Valkyrie Wings
March 16th 2012 to March 25th 2012
The Valkyrie Wings were a standalone promotion.
Valkyrie wings were available in all standard themes in addition to the four rarer themes.

Mirrored Lockboxes
April 18th 2012 to April 22nd 2012
This was a promotion that introduced the ability to alter the knight's eyes and height.
Along with the free boxes with energy purchases, Mirrored Lockboxes were permanently added to the game as a drop from the prize wheel.
Mirrored Lockboxes are the second Lockboxes to be added to the game, and the last Lockboxes implemented so far that still require a Silver Key.

Wild Side
June 7th 2012 to June 11th 2012
This was a standalone promotion, releasing two accessories in various colours: The Extra Vertical Vents and the Cat Tail.
These were available in all standard themes in addition to the four rarer themes.

Solstice Prize Boxes
June 20th 2012 to June 26th 2012
The Solstice Prize boxes were released alongside the real world event of the same name.
This was the first promotion in which prizes were distributed in a sealed box, that didn't require a key to open, allowing a method of giving players a uniform method to calculate the worth of their Energy Purchase.
This is also the first promotion to include Variant Tickets.
The rare Sunshine and Winter Crown and Aura were introduced.

Nemesis Prize Boxes
July 13th 2012 to July 30th 2012
The Nemesis Prize boxes were released as a limited time promotion alongside the Guardian Armor Pack.
It included some standard Divine and Volcanic accessories as well as previously featured promotion gear: Valkyrie and Dragon Wings.
The rare Arcane Halo accessory was introduced.

Guardian Armor
Introduced in July 13 2012, Binds on aquisition
The Guardian Armor pack promotion was introduced as a "Bundle" and includes two armor sets in two different styles.
It is an ongoing promotion, and the armor binds upon purchase so has no resale value.

Hunter Prize Boxes
August 9th 2012 to August 20th 2012
The Hunter Promotion was a standalone promotion that included Hunter-Themed costumes in many of the current armour model styles, and Hunter-Themed accessories.
This was the first promotion to feature recolors of currently existing armors as costumes.
The rare Leafy Aura accessory was introduced.

Surge Prize Boxes
September 12th 2012 to September 28th 2012
Along with the release of the Danger Missions, the Surge Prize boxes were given away with select Energy purchases.
This included Surge-Themed costumes in many of the current armour model styles, and Surge-Themed accessories.
This also gave an official name for Surge themed gear, and was the first promotion to feature alternatively colored versions of the new proto armors, Flak and Draped.
The rare Hacked Aura accessory was introduced.

Stormy Prize Boxes
May 22nd 2013 to June 2nd 2013
The Forged From Thunder Promotion was a standalone promotion that included Storm-Themed costumes in many of the current helmet model styles and two new armor styles, and Storm-Themed accessories.
The Eye of Fury accessories were introduced.
