Gremlin Knockers are a type of monster found in the Clockworks.

Traits

Knockers are quick, diminutive, Gremlins that wear colored goggles and wield two Wrench Wands. The color of these match the minerals used to make the theme status - for example, a Jumper's goggles and wrench color are blue and purple, matching the minerals that create shock themed levels. Knockers attack by slamming their wands near a knight and causing an explosion, which can inflict a status condition and even knock enemies around. These explosions occasionally backfire, creating a larger explosion that can potentially inflict stun on those (including the Gremlin Knocker) caught in the explosion. Knockers do not appear to belong to any clans, so they do not behave differently further down in the Clockworks.

After tier 1, Knockers deal elemental damage if their attacks connect.

No Knocker is immune to its own dealt status effect.

Strategy

  • The Knocker series are the weakest type of Gremlin, and possibly the weakest enemies in the Clockworks. They do not dodge gunfire and have two short ranged attacks. Their attacks can be easily canceled similar to Scuttlebots and they should be approached similarly.
  • The Knockers do not leave corpses when defeated in Tier 3, meaning it is safe to dispatch of them in the presence of a Darkfang Mender.
  • Note that even though the Gremlin Knocker has status variations, these variations WILL NOT inflict themselves with any status effect other than stun if their attack misfires. Also note that they are not invulnerable to the status effects they can inflict: for example, it is possible to poison a Gremlin Choker (although there is little point to this unless a Gremlin Mender is nearby).
