A harness is an item that can be equipped on a Battle Sprite. The harness controls whether the sprite inflicts normal, piercing, elemental, or shadow damage. The harness also reduces the cooldown period for sprite skills, by 0%, 5%, or 10%.
Every knight obtains the Iron Harness when he (or she) acquires his first sprite. Additional harnesses can be purchased from Riley in the Laboratory. The knight must own the basic version of a harness, before he can purchase the Advanced version. The knight must own the Advanced version, before he can purchase the Elite version. Harnesses are bound upon purchase.
When a knight owns more than one sprite, the sprites share all of the knight's harnesses. However, certain sprites cannot equip certain damage types:
- Drakon can equip normal, elemental, and shadow harnesses, but not piercing harnesses.
- Seraphynx can equip normal, piercing, and elemental harnesses, but not shadow harnesses.
- Maskeraith can equip normal, piercing, and shadow harnesses, but not elemental harnesses.
