The following are unnoficial Wiki Images made by users to facilitate understanding in strategic map images:
= where a knight starts. The design is reminiscent of an elevator grate - usually a knight starts out standing on a grate that's settled into the floor.
= A combat ally. This can be either an NPC knight that needs rescuing, or a turret that's already powered, and so on.
= An arsenal station or similar area where knights can change their gear.
= party button. Let's group up and go! This party button simply allows progression.
= party button. If this button is stepped on, monsters will appear!
= there's something important here, like a statue or a ghost block, that needs to be taken care of or carried somewhere to achieve goals.
= there's a particularly nasty clockworks hazard here, like a large wall trap that requires more thought than lesser traps.
= this gate is opened with energy.
= something here uses energy to be activated. This could be a mecha knight or a mecha turret.
= This area is isolated, usually behind a gate, and is very dangerous - a Danger Room is a good example.
= Surprise monster fight. Sometimes there's not a party button. You should be prepared to be trapped here with one or more monsters, and a fight is the only way out!
= a boss waits to be fought here.
= there's a bunch of Minerals in the area.
= there's a bunch of Treasure Boxes in the area.
