Description

A sublime shield entrusted to only the most worthy members of the Spiral Order. Whether its crest is a relic from the Order of old or a creation from the Knights' time on Cradle is not immediately clear.

Acquisition

The recipe for this item is a reward for completing the 8-2 Rank Mission: "Becoming a Champion."

Notes

In Greek mythology, Aegis is the shield of the goddess Athena. It bears the head of Medusa. In modern usage, aegis refers to the protection of a benevolent force — in this case, perhaps the Spiral Order, whose symbol Aegis carries. Behind the shield there are two Side Blade accessories.

Aegis has been in the game since launch (see release 2011-04-04), and has not been significantly altered since then.
