These images are collected in a category for those curious about the game's history. Check out the Obsolete category for a (text) list of obsolete entities.

Most images are updated with new versions.
To see older versions of an image, navigate to that image's file page and scroll to the bottom. If there were older versions uploaded, they will be visible there.

It usually preferable to upload new versions of an image rather than uploading an image to a new filename.
This tag should therefore only be used on files that are images of completely obsolete entities, subjects, and/or filenames that no longer make sense. That being said,

Please do not upload new versions of this file - it is "frozen in time" as part of the Obsolete category. If the above image is being used on any pages, please upload an appropriate image to a new file name on those pages (unless the entire page topic is obsolete, then leave things be).
