The Obsidian Hood is a costume.

Notes
This item was introduced during the first Shroud of the Apocrea event in October 2013.
Items of this type seem to be described in the style of Lovecraftian Horror.
The prismatic eyes glow and the top "solid" part of the hood has a metallic sheen. The "fabric" parts of this item tend to flop if the player moves.
It is reminiscent of the Apocrean Harvester.
