Gunslinger Guide

As a gunslinger, I use Polaris, Sentenza, and Argent Peacemaker. These three can hard-counter everything but slimes. Slimes are usually no threat to me, and I can clean them with the Polaris.

Argent Peacemaker

The Argent Peacemaker has good mobility, short delay, short reload time, fast bullets, and a good clip size. This weapon does both piercing and elemental damage. As a result, this gun does extra damage to fiends and undeads. Some people may attribute this to its drawback because enemies [that take extra damage from this gun] only take extra damage one damage type and normal to other. Therefore, this gun does not fit well with gunslingers that carry a gun of each damage type [so that every enemy that they encounter will take much more extra damage]. It is also controversial that this gun does worse damage to its "neutral" enemies (extra damage from one damage type, reduced damage from the other).

Sentenza

This gun shares the same qualities and drawbacks as the Argent Peacemaker. However, this gun does extra damage to gremlins and beasts instead of fiends and undeads. Unlike fiends and undeads, firing a projectile at gremlins and beasts will trigger their block/dodge actions. As a result, this gun has one more drawback than the Argent Peacemaker.

Polaris

Why do you choose Argent Peacemaker and Sentenza?

There are two piercing-damage based guns: Blitz Needle and Callahan. Blitz Needle does not offer good survivability against Wolvers and Devilites. The attack timeframe for the Blitz Needle is too long, and it cannot be terminated early. Therefore, attacking will create openings for the enemies. Immediately after a wolver dodges an attack, s/he is open to attacks. Since the Blitz Needle takes so long to complete an attack, the Blitz Needle cannot take advantage of this opening.

I have never used the Callahan... I will reflect on it later...

I choose to stick with the Argent Peacemaker and Sentenza.
