This is technically a clockworks level, although it is not in a gate of any kind. The very first time you log in, you land here in the crash site. This site tells you about the basics of gameplay: controls and the main point of your adventure.
This level is not multiplayer and knights will not be put in parties of more than 1. Upon dying in this level, the knight will be revived after a few seconds. If this is the first time Spiral Knights has been run on the computer, the rest of the game will download after the completion of this level.
