Fellow Knights, I come to you in the wake of recent events to issue a call to reason. Let no Knight deny the perils of our time. While we battle one another, divided by the petty strife of our common history, the tide of a greater conflict is turning against us, threatening to destroy all that we have accomplished. It is time for us as guilds, and as individuals to set aside our longstanding feuds and unite.

The tides of an un-winnable war are upon us, and we must seek refuge upon higher ground, lest we be swept away by the flood. The Skylark is no more. Whatever semblance of unity and protection it once provided is a phantom. A memory. With our enemies left unchecked, who will you turn to for protection?

The devastation wrought by the alien monsters is self-evident. We have seen our homes and communities destroyed by the calculated blows of the Gremlins. We have seen firsthand our friends and loved ones consumed by the nightmarish Undead. Unprecedented, and unimaginable though they may be, these are the signs of our times.

The time has come my fellow Knights, to rally to a new banner. In unity lies strength. Already many of the dissident factions have joined us. Out of the many we shall forge an indivisible whole, capitulating ONLY to a single THRONE. And from that throne... I shall watch over you.

From this day forward, let no Knight make war upon any other Knight. Let no Spiral agency conspire against this new beginning. And let no Knight consort with alien monsters. And to all the enemies of Spiral Knights, seek not to bar our way. For we shall win through, NO MATTER THE COST!

• Officer Rank Test Revamp II
  • In consultation with my loyal Officers and due to the recent bug-fixes and buffs to the game, I have decided to make several amendments to the Officer Rank Test. In preparation for new content, we need strong Officers to lead our guild to the future. As such, an Officer of <Cloud Nine> must be a true master of Tier 3, and set an example to those who he or she means to lead. Fine tuning of the Officer Rank Test revamp II will began shortly. As of now, please see below for changes:

Officer Rank Test

• Must be a guild Veteran.
• 7-Day guild membership waiting period minimum before attempting "Officer Rank Test".
• Must be able to complete the following:
  • Solo (4-man) Lord Vanaduke
    • Maximum 6 Pills allowed for the Vanaduke. No more than 3 Pills can be used for the 1st 3 Phases.
  • All Firestorm Citadel arenas and courtrooms.
    • Maximum 3 Pills per Depth allowed (d24, d25, d26, d27).
    • Officer candidate is allowed to gain full health without penalty before continuing to the next arena or courtroom.
    • Officer candidate must LEAD group (non-solo sections) successfully through Firestorm Citadel with minimal deaths.
  • 1 x Shadow Lair (Officer candidate's choice) of as a team.
    • Officer candidate must provide for Shadow Key. Officers/GMs will pay for their portion of the key cost.
• Officer candidate will be graded upon demonstration of superior leadership, skill, and teamwork.
• 3 x Officers/GM are required to administrate the "Officer Rank Test" (the GM must be present).
• Majority decision for promotion by current Officers/GMs. Non-participating Officers in the Rank test are able to cast their votes.
  • Votes must be in-person or mailed to current GM within 48 hours. GM will mail in-game notice.
  • In cases of tie, GM will cast tie-breaking vote.
  • GM may veto any Officer promotion.

  • All <Cloud Nine> guild members regardless of rank are invited to the Guildhall for the monthly meeting. Please see below under Ongoing Events for more info.

• JK Speed Run Challenge!
  • Event created by Korh. Open to all players within <Cloud Nine>
  • The goal is doing [Royal Jelly Palace] Depth 15 & 16 as fast as you can. Awards for the fastest times.
  • Rules:
    • Teams have 2 players. There is no limit to player in multiple players.
    • No deaths allowed
    • You must complete all rooms, open all boxes, and kill all monsters (Exception: Royal Mini)
    • You must pick up all items dropped by the monsters (Exceptions: Pills and vials)
    • In every run, Korh or an Officer will be dead and will keep track of time with a stopwatch.
    • Time starts when the gates of Depth 15 opens and ends when the last gate of Depth 16 opens.
  • Rewards (from Korh):
    • 1st Place: 100 CE
    • 2nd Place: 80 CE
    • 3rd Place: 60 CE

The challenge will be available for 2 weeks.

• Officer Rank Test Revamp
  • As always, <Cloud Nine> will strive forward and improve it's processes daily to meet the ever-growing needs of our guild membership. When myself and Electricmessiah founded the guild, made it in the interest of creating a guild with process, organization and rules on which to run by. Electric wanted a high-end guild with Shadow runs/FSC runs 24/7 with the BEST of the BEST players. As I have come to realize, that is not possible. Spiral Knights is not your typical MMO. Soloing Vanaduke is VERY tough boss fight and it's unforgiving as well. One bad lag spike and you can be Mace-smashed into a falling ceiling with Shadowfire spawning on top of you. Since I have revamp the Rank Tests for Member and Veteran respectively, the number of attempts have increased significantly. I want to see the same with the Officer Rank Test. Our guild is strong with great membership and good people doing good things for the guild, I see it every day when I log in. We need new leaders to take care of our guild and guide our members. Yes, to some it may be "watering down" the test, but the focus is to make sure our Officer candidates have the adequate skill to complete Pre-Shadow Lair content and display their leadership potential. This revamp has been made in the best interest of the guild. So without further ado, here are the changes:

Officer Rank Test

• Must be a guild Veteran.
• 7-Day guild membership waiting period minimum before attempting "Officer Rank Test".
• Must be able to complete the following:
  • Any Firestorm Citadel room, at any time at the Officer/GM’s discretion. (Max. 8 rooms. Exception: d27's room - Last wave)

• New Activity Requirements!
  • Due to the expansion of our guild and to ensure our membership activity, we will now have activity requirements. Guild members unable to provide a minimum activity level as stated below may be REMOVED from the guild if a slot is required for a new recruit. Audits will take place monthly by the GM.
  • Guild members will be required to have "Last Log-in Date" no greateraa than the following per rank:
    • Recruit: 1 week
    • Member: 2 weeks
    • Veteran: 3 weeks
    • Officer: 1 month
  • Guild members that need to take a break or go on vacation from the game may request a leave-of-absence from the GM. The GM will approve leave-of-absences brought to his attention. Guild member will be granted 1 month protection. Guild member must renew leave-of-absence at the end of the month.   • <Cloud Nine> members are allowed one character to be tagged. Alts are not allowed without GM approval. Alts will be the first to be removed in the event of population cap.
  • Former <Cloud Nine> members are allowed to be re-invited back to the guild ONCE with the rank of Recruit only with GM approval. Consideration of factors will be taken in account. Future re-invitations will NOT be considered except in exceptional circumstances.

• Secret Santa
  • Secret Santa: A concept where every person in a group is assigned a random person to buy a present for. In return, they will receive a present from another person whom they don't know the identity from until the last moment.
  • Requirements to enter the event:
    • Only C9 guildies are eligible to join.
    • Guild member should contact me, Suprvoo.
    • Participants have to update their recipe wishes at Cloud Nine Trading Post to make it easier to find appropriate presents.
  • The event itself will go as follows:
    • Once people sign up, they will be assigned someone to buy a present for.
    • Presents have to have a worth of at least 5K Crowns or 75 CE, there is no maximum limit.
    • It's not allowed to contact your target to ask for their wishes, it is however allowed to ask other guildies to do it for you.
    • When delivering the present, add a nice poem or friendly message in which you share the Holiday spirit.
  • Joining the Secret Cloud Santa event is possible until the 23rd of December 0:00 GMT+1 (6 PM NY, 3PM LA)

I hope you are having a great holiday season. We are growing faster than ever! It was amazing just a month ago when we first started with just a handful of players. Now we are over half of the Max cap for a guild! Some very important announcements:

• Promotions!
  • Congratulations to Nozip for attaining the rank of Officer! His is our first Officer to be produced through our modernized Rank system. His friendliness and abilities are a testament to his what we look for in our next generation of Officers. Carry on Nozip!
  • Congratulations to Bithetoy & Korh for achieving Member rank. We look forward to see both of you rise to greater levels!

• Trading between guild members
  • I have noticed trading and loaning between guild members. This is good to help out your fellow guild members. However keep in mind that <Cloud Nine> is NOT responsible for any deal/loan you make between each other. Personally I don't like owing people money or loaning for more than I have too. And if I do, I make good on my payment immediately when possible. I find that a lot of quarrels happen because of deals not honored. We ask that if you do decide to loan/deal with another guild member that you HONOR your agreement as soon as possible. I have noted that in our Rules & Guidelines. If you ask me to enforce a deal you made with someone, I will decline. Trust me, you do NOT want me arbitrate in your dispute. Just keep that in mind.
• In-Guild Recipe & Material Trade
  • Suprvoo & Cheshireccat have created a Google Document SK:C9 Trading Post. This is for in-guild trading of Materials & Recipes to help each other. If you wish to participate please contact Suprvoo & Cheshireccat. Visit Cloud Nine Trading Post for more info.
• Dissolving all Guild Alliances & Treaties

• Major, major changes to our Rank Tests and Promotion Requirements. See below for more information under Rank System. As always, our requirements are in keeping with the highest traditions of this guild.

Hello fellow guildies and lurkers. This page is still a work in progress. I've been very busy lately. See below for more information about our guild policy and events. I would like to share with you a bit of my reason for starting this guild. My dream is to build a guild that players can gather, hone their skills, become better players over time. Through organization and personal determination, I will make this dream fulfilled. If you are a member of <Cloud Nine> already, thank you for all you do.

• All <Cloud Nine> guild members are invited to the monthly guild meeting in the Guildhall. The guild meeting will in the style of formal parliamentary procedure. The guild meeting will be lead by the GM or Officer of highest ranking senority. The guild meeting will last as long as necessary and guilds members are welcome to join and leave at their convenience. Below is the procedure that is to be expected in every guild meeting:
  • Ashiram or Officer's Opening Speech
  • Closed Forum
    • Guild members must send a tell to GM requesting permission to speak.
    • Guild member speeches will be given in the order received and limited to 1 minute. The GM will state "Thank you X." to signal the end of the speech.
    • The GM will say "X has the floor". Only members who "have the floor" may speak.
    • If speech is directed towards a member of the guild, that member is permitted to respond. The GM will give that member the floor and he or she has 1 minute to respond.
    • Those who continually speaking out of turn during closed forum will be requested to leave the Guildhall. Refusal to do so will result in demotion and/or removal from the guild.
    • The GM requesting "order" will mean that all chat must stop at that point.
  • Open Forum - Any member may speak at any time.
  • Ashiram or Officer's Closing Speech

• All <Cloud Nine> Officers are REQUIRED to be present in the Guildhall for the Weekly Officer Meeting. The Weekly Officer Meeting date & times will be set by the Guild Master. It will be an "Open Forum". Though "order" may be declared at any time by the GM to request silence. Agendas will be presented and if need be voted upon. All decisions require majority vote. The Guild Master may veto any decision. Weekly Officer Meeting will last as long as it is necessary.

• Earn a chance to win 1,500 crowns daily! Whenever Ashiram logs in and says "Time for Ash's Cash!", ALL ONLINE members of <Cloud Nine> will be automatically entered into a lottery. Each member is assigned a number (based on online order). Ashiram will use a random number generator to select a number. The winning number gets 1,500 crowns! Minimum payout is 1,500 crowns. There is no maximum. Event can happen more than once in a day.

• Learn how to beat Snarby, JK, Twins, Vana, even Tier 3 Danger Rooms all by yourself! Ashiram is offering one-on-one soloing lessons to teach you what you need to survive in the Clockworks alone. Hands-on training and constructive analysis on the spot. Lessons are by appointment only. Contact Ashiram for more information.

• Any guild member wishing to participate in a Shadow Run, please contact an Officer or GM to arrange one. Guild members that need to craft gear from the Sanctuary Alchemy Machine are encouraged to apply.
• Guild members are required to prep for the Shadow Lair they wish to run by selecting and reading the below information (appropriate 5-Star Gear will be required):
