A small guild made by quite some time before the Shadow Lair patch. It went into complete inactivity for months, and quickly burst back up days after the guild master became active again. It currently has around 60-80 members, at the time of editing. It participates in raids and occasional pvp, catering to both newbies and skilled players.
Itts th best guild EVARRR!!!!1111 - Everybody who ever played Spiral Knights.
Other Information
Roll Dan is a guild that was created shortly before the switch to steam. However, its popularity only grew significantly 2012~. It encourages helpfullness among the guildmates and, more importantly, returning the favor. It is still somewhat obscure, and is less of a PVP force than a service for newer or even experienced players. It does however partake in occasional pvp matches and shadow layer raids as well as lower stratum runs. After shadow lair runs, the guild members will hand over 1/5 of the crowns they earned on the penultimate level. For this, members are asked to keep track of their money before and after the run. Funds will be transferred to the active guild treasurer, or the guild master if one is not available. It has few rules, just be kind where kindness is due, don't be mean, and most importantly don't ask about the name. Oh, and uphold your duties if you fill a certain position.
We are very unlike many of the mainstream guilds, this guild will not require you to perform any action other than your normal gameplay (unless you willingly enter one of the notable positions), and is more of a friendly party of people that will help you and provide easy access to raids, pvp, and other forms of assistance.
Seriously it will get you banned, don't ask.
Notable Knights
Nezumior- Guildmaster.
Steelplates- Main affairs officer.
Origlnal- Main combat officer.
Master pvp officer- Position open. (High tier knight with good knowledge of game mechanics, good leadership skills, and a LOT of patience.)
Master raid officer- Position open. (High tier knight with good knowledge of clockworks mechanics, good leadership skills, and PvE.)
Master officer of affairs- Position open. (Socially apt, knowledge of other guilds and common events. Online very often.)
Vice master pvp officer*- Position open. (Same as master pvp officer.)
Vice raid officer*- Position open. (Same as master raid officer.)
Vice officer of affairs*- Position open. (Same as master officer of affairs)
- Note, as a vice officer you are much more expendable and are more likely to be demoted due to misbehaving. These positions require both leadership skills AND willingness to follow orders.
Guild treasurer- Position open. Please note, to become guild treasurer you must first become a normal member and thoroughly prove your trustworthiness. This position requires money management skills and a enough self control that you don't go spending the guild's livelihood. The guildmaster will regularly undergo funds checks to make sure that the amount is the same.
Guild Rules
Rolldan has a list of rules. Here they are.
1: Inactivity for over 1 month results in immediate kick until you return to the guild. You may ask for your rank back, tell Nezumior for it back and NO ONE ELSE. If you wish not to be demoted (Going on vacation/can't play) message Nezumior.
2: No begging. Some people join guilds just to get free stuff. Do not join for this reason. However, Members and Veterans are allowed to ask for equipment, just don't take advantage of the situation.
Job Requests
To request a Notable position in the guild, send a message to the guildmaster (Nezumior) in game or to his steam name (Arnactor.) This message should include current tier, weapon/armor set, and qualifying factors. You will be invited into the guild and be entered into a private interview in the guild hall. Your request will either be approved or not, and if it is your position will be assumed immediately. If you are not available for the time of interview request, your request will pend until you are online. This position may be filled or become unavailable during your absence, so please try to send the requests when both you and the guildmaster are online. If you wish to have a constant update on the status of the guildmaster, send a private message to him and he will invite you to the guild.
Special Events
This section will remain unfilled until the Master positions are filled as well. Then the guild will hold a council to determine cost effective events and rewards. After this, a frequently updated bulletin will be posted informing you of the upcoming events.
