Wisps are a type of monster found in the Clockworks. They do not deal any damage, but cause status effects.
Traits
Wisps resemble brightly lit sawblades. They are invulnerable while moving, but while not moving (and therefore with their blade retracted) they can be attacked and slain. Wisps are considered a Drone monster, and thus follow a set path and do not target players. They drop nothing other than hearts and Vitapods.
Wisps do not directly inflict damage, but a collision with one will always inflict a status effect as shown by the color of the sawblade.

Strategy
With the exception of Golden Wisps, Wisps that are destroyed have a chance of dropping hearts and a smaller chance of dropping Vitapods. When you clear out an area and are low on health, it's best to head back to a previous area which contain Wisps, and destroy them to obtain some health.
