They can only be found in the final depth of a Tier (with the exception of the Fallen Knight) and are much stronger than a normal monster, often requiring very specific tactics to defeat it; however, most bosses belong to monster families and therefore can be made significantly easier by bringing the appropriate weaponry for the boss.
