This is the official wiki page for the Spiral Knights guild, Knights Errant. We are still an active guild as of 19th of September 2016, since 5th of February 2014.

Knights Errant guild that is currently looking to build an active, strong and mature community of players who are friendly, helpful, and polite j. We have a great core group of players, with Guild Master online everyday.

In general, Knights Errant

  • Is a safe and fun community guild where members can play, socialize and chat about Spiral Knights including tips and strategies, and other interests
  • We do a variety of runs, help each other out with clearing clockworks and bosses when possible, do basil runs to obtain recipes for members, , as well as answering questions with our combined SK knowledge/experience on topics in-game or off
  • We will not force or harass members to play or to do anything unless they want to

Furthermore, Knights Errant is a guild that runs itself and thrive on members who like to take initiative to make the community and their experience a good one - the GMs/Officers are on quite often but mainly only step in when needed and to play all the same (no real hierarchy here). Members may not be up to play all the time as we all have lives which comes first and we respect that, but when members are up to play, you know they would be good for it :)

The Guild and its Hall was created in February 2014 as a private hole-in-the-wall. In May, we opened up to some great trenchers. But we’re a clan, not a hive. We do not solicit for any old recruit. We a€™re picky. Whatever your rank, if you want in, ask. We’€™ll run with you to see if you play nice and kill well. We want loyal troopers and kindly civilized people who will help to keep our home a pleasant place. We welcome your Alternates in their own right. For more detail contact Soeurwulf. In the beginning, this Guild was created for 4 Knights: Soeurwulf, Julcaid, Firemetal, & Miss-Lewyl-Gyne. 2 rooms – Lobby & Console Room. No charge XD. As fans of a High Fantasy book series, they set centre lobby a white tree. Tho that tree looks like an SK Xmas tree, for them it represented a living crystal tree focal to the book series. Why? Though even in the series it looks like a tree to ordinary folk, it is really a Stargate to a string of Sky Realms. They took it as their Stargate which takes them to far places, not up in space but down into the Clockworks. In the book series, the tree/stargate is called the Tamarith and it sits in the centre of a Sky Hall. It is immense, and is surrounded by 12 pools of bright blue fire – crystal energy. The 4 would gather inside the ring, and in front of the Stargate to go on runs and missions. Perfect, satisfying. When they opened up the Guild to other knights, they explained the Tamarith and made sure those new knights understood its nature and function. You were all told of this when you joined the Guild, and it is also spelled out in KET which you are supposed to have read cover to cover. Over the past 18 months or so of the guild’s existence, we have grown. Evolution involves flexibility and change. Many items from SK have been added, together with the wings and rooms. Soeur moves things around a bit, even rooms at great expense, but items related to the book series will never move. They are embedded into the very fabric of the guildhall – its geography and history XD. Whenever you can, use our Stargate. Salute, wave, and go. It adds to the magic and the mystery of our great Guild.

We welcome any knights who wants to join our small family. If you are interested, please message the following guild masters or officers in-game.

Guild Master(s) and Officer(s) who are accepting for recruits:

Once a guild master or an officer had been contacted, a short interview will be required before we invite you officially to the guild. After which, every recruit must undergo a test run with any guild master or officer as an evaluation on your current standing. This evaluation will help us determine if you are well capable of handling yourselves or if you need a lot of help explaining what to do. Of course this only applies to low rank knights - higher ranked knights can skip this procedure.

Requirements to be accepted into the guild:

  • Well-mannered .
  • Understands English.
  • Respects Others.
  • Does not cuss in chat either in private of public.
  • Player rank 2 - rank 10.

  • Privacy - Don’t go asking personal stuff. We are all anonymous and live in Haven, tho we do respect that some knights might choose to volunteer private info of their own free choice.
  • Good Manners - Always be polite & helpful to all, not just friends & guild mates. Also don’t forget to say hi and bye when you log on and off.
  • Independence - No begging, even tricked out as borrowing. Try it and you a€™re out! Most important, do not hint or ask GMs, especially Soeur (who is a soft touch) outright for rarities such as orbs and crystals. Unbound stuff is bought from Supply Depot with REAL MONEY. There are around 100 knights in Guild. GMs give to you, they have to give to everyone. Go figure that one out. The whole idea of this game is to work for your stuff or there is nothing to work for and you do not develop your skills. Beg once, you are warned to read this page. Beg again and you are out!
  • Patience - Wait for slow loaders on the pad. You may have a legit need to hurry but others may have bad connection and load more slowly. If you are in a rush, leave run for another time. Be considerate to knights with slow comps, they feel bad enough with their lag, don’t make them feel even worse!
  • Diligence - Don’t leave your party in the middle of a serious Rank or Boss Mission without just cause. If you do not mean to finish don’t start!
  • Mercyful - Don’t slaughter Love Puppies. They shoot out hearts not rockets and are colored pink – they are healers and may save YOUR life one day. We hear you have purposely killed one you are gone.
  • Obedience - Follow Spiral Knight's Terms of Service. You don't want to be banned, don't you?
  • Loyalty - Make your FRIDAY Treasury deposits as you agreed on that day or as near as possible. Guild Masters don’t like to spend precious time rooting through the records!

Knights who cannot play for good reason are excused but those who log on and play and conveniently “forget” to pay tribute to guild for 2 straight weeks are bumped back down to recruit and all privileges withheld until failure is made good.

Knights who fail to mind our code are warned. 3 warnings and they are booted pronto. Honor your commitments.

  • The tree in the guild logo is a Living Crystal Stargate, Tamarith. A reference on the book series "Gom on Windy Mountains".
  • Our website Knights Errant Times, KET for short, features news or events of what happened on a weekly basis.
  • The term "Knights Errant" is a reference to figure of medieval chivalric romance literature. The adjective errant (meaning "wandering, roving") indicates how the knight-errant would wander the land in search of adventures to prove his chivalric virtues, either in knightly duels (pas d'armes) or in some other pursuit of courtly love.
  • Knights who cuss or talk about vulgar language in public aren't welcome here.
