Player/Knight Biography

Origin

Vahuda is a steam player from Australia who started his journey on Spiral Knights around late 2011. Out of interest in finding a MMORPG game to partake in on his mac computer (IRL his friends joke/mock macs but Vahuda cbb most of the time) he appeared during the Sonic Promotion Event in which he acquired the Metal Sonic Costume set. Since then, he makes a point in having his own "cool" image by wearing his Metal Sonic Helmet together with his Azure Guardian Armour, which is also used as a costume (However, he does feel like a need to change his look out of boredom, though cannot find the crowns or time to get his desired new look).

Early life at Haven

A little while after his arrival at Haven, he joined a free party performing a Tier 1 run in which he becomes friends with an experienced SK who help guided the party of newcomers through a Snarbolax fight and took Vahuda onto an adventure through Tier 2 via a bug commonly known to older players who use it to have non-qualified players pass through at the time. Afterwards, the SK freely gave Vahuda a Cobalt set, a Calibur, a Poison Needle and an Owlite Shield to help out the player in becoming qualified and prepared for Tier 2 plays. In response to the knight's act of charity, Vahuda returns the favour with CE and his service as a member of the Ethereal Knights.

The Journey to becoming a Tier 3 knight

Participating more into Spiral Knights, Vahuda managed to upgrade his given equipment to a Leviathan Blade, a Grey Owlite Shield and Azure Guardian set (Although he changed to the Vog/Skolver equip as per his seniors advice and a guide on equipments). Along the way, he continues to improve his plays and becomes efficient in surviving in Tier 2 (However he still detests playing alone in Candlestick Keep areas). Once entering Tier 3, he found difficulties surviving through its floors due to inexperience though his ventures in Vanaduke runs helped improved his abilities and teamwork with the party (although he remains unable to survive thrashings by Vanaduke himself along with his minions).

After accomplishing a complete 5 star gear for his plays, he spends time doing Tier 2 runs either solo or with friends and guild members though he does not shy away from Tier 3 or Vana runs when invited or joining a party. Eventually, he took up on the mantle of officer in the Ethereal Knights guild

Current Events

As real life matters called out to him, Vahuda tries to balance out between work and leisure, and only seeks to play on Spiral Knights when fancied playing or has enough break time to spare. Having interest in different weapon attributes, he hopes in crafting weapons he can use against the weaknesses of his enemies for better offensive strength and is currently working on his shadow weapon. Though lack of experience in Tier 3 plays worries him after prolonged absence from the game, he is always welcome to earning more play experience in Tier 3 whenever possible.

Currently right now, he has taken time off of Spiral Knight to focus on his workload though he does return from time to time.

Playstyle

Though he wields a Blitz Needle in his arsenal, his preferred combat style is focused on swordplay, with his popular choice of weapon for most of his fights involving the Leviathan Blade and its charge ability. He also resorts to his Divine Avenger for both elemental damage and projectile attacks. With his Vog/Skolver gear along with trinkets, he relies on increased sword speed and damage in his normal/heavy swords to cut down his enemies with more ease as well as reducing his chances of being countered when on the offensive.

However his focus on swords also resulted in less plays in using his gun, in which he basically needs to stop and aim his gun before firing. Also being a swordsman, he naturally tries defending or avoiding projectile hits as best as possible depending on the strength of the enemy and attacks he is faced against and requires room to do so.
