Sup

Just taking random notes here. Get out!
IGN is Biznasty, if you were wondering. I am the guild leader of Guild. It is me.

Decrous, you shall be remembered. You still suck though.
Magnus is amazing.

Thanks to Charoum, Mike, Cobalt and other cool fellas for the basic design and stuff on the Load-out section. They cool.

Notes and crap

>The Undead/Fire locked T3 stratum on certain gates

It's Vanaduke, dummy!

>Vanaduke is not a fiend

I own a VS Fiend High Leviathan Blade, while Magnus uses a plain one. We deal the exact same damage on Vanaduke.

Vanaduke is not undead either, since CIV does not deal any additional damage. It's possible that he is somehow some other random race, although it's more likely that he simply has no race at all.

Jelly King on the other hand, is actually a slime.

>Bonuses

  • Low: 1 point
  • Medium: 2 points
  • High: 3 points
  • Very High: 4 points
  • Ultra: 5 points
  • Maximum: 6 points

Maximum is obviously the limit.

However, note that this is only for weapon relating bonuses; Charge Reduction, Attack Speed, and Damage Bonus. Unique Variants for defense/resist on armors or shields do not cap out at this maximum. In this case, it simply works as the indicator for the quality.

Damage Bonuses
Depth 27, Leviathan Blade with VS Fiend High, no other damage bonuses:

  • Normal hit: 200
    • Normal combo finish: 254
    • Normal charge attack: 378
  • Fiend hit: 243
    • Fiend combo finish: 303
    • Fiend charge attack: 442

So ~45 extra damage from a High. This is for Leviathans, of course - It seems there's a set amount of damage increased which differs depending on the weapon use. On Leviathan, it seems like the increase is on percentages, however I'm unsure how exactly it works - A VS Undead Medium DA's charge still only increases by the base amount, instead of percentage. Would need more testing on different weapons.

>Unique Variants

Unique Variants' quality can be Low, Medium, High, Very High or Maximum.

Weapons however only go up to Very High. Armor, helmets and shields can go up to Maximum.

Although Ultra exists, it cannot be obtained as Unique Variant.

>Spark Tokens

  • Forge Spark: Fire, Shock, Construct
  • Grim Spark: Poison, Undead, Fiend
  • Primal Spark: Freeze, Jelly, Beast

...I have no clue what tokens Gremlin levels drop. Technically, pure gremlin levels don't even exist, other than Deconstruction zones. Can't remember my token drops on those levels very well.

>Status Effect Resist Cap

Two full meters; Two pieces of five star armory and two maximum variants (not on a shield - shield resists are no longer passive) would reach the cap.

Trinkets could be used to reach the cap, but usually, it's not worth sacrificing health from heart pendants for small amounts of resist.

>Cold Iron Vanquisher vs. Leviathan Blade

This question comes up all the damn time. So here's some more concrete numbers. Depth 27, only damage bonuses were Fiend High on Leviathan and Undead High on CIV. Both weapons are at level 10.

Cold Iron Vanquisher:

  • Normal hit: 183
    • Normal combo finish: 234
    • Normal charge attack: 352
  • Undead hit: 224
    • Undead combo finish: 280
    • Undead charge attack: 413

Leviathan Blade:

  • Normal hit: 200
    • Normal combo finish: 254
    • Normal charge attack: 378
  • Fiend hit: 243
    • Fiend combo finish: 303
    • Fiend charge attack: 442

So yeah. The damage differences are pretty small - I'd say Leviathan is a bit better. You lose only a bit of damage on one specific race while dealing a bit more to all the other five.

But in general, the bonuses are not big enough to make an actual difference when killing normal monsters. CIV's basepower is also too low - A Leviathan with VS Undead Very High UV would deal as much as a CIV with a VS Undead High UV. (thus getting a Maximum)

And as a note, remember, this was on T3. The damage difference is even smaller on T2 or T1. (I think it'd be 10 damage difference rather than 20 on T2, and ~5 for T1)
