Hi there Gulliver! I noticed you're working on your guild page (that's great, I love keeping ours going!), but you don't appear to be using the "Show preview" button. It's the button to the left of the "Save changes" button. Basically it allows you to see the effects of your changes straight away, without saving those changes.
Just as a heads-up, when you save an edit on the wiki (even if you mark it as a minor edit), it shows up on the recent changes page - this can be useful for people keeping tabs on what articles are being updated and what changes are being made on the wiki. At the moment you have almost an entire page to yourself! I just thought I'd drop you a note as using the preview button for edits not only keeps things neater on the recent changes page, but you can see significant updates on your guild History page far more clearly, too. If I can be of any assistance, please ask! --Scribo 10:06, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
I see now what you meant about the Recent Changes history for all of Spiral Knights... I was wondering what might bring this to your attention... I am also not sure how this user talk thing is supposed to work, but I'll accept your advice as well intentioned. I will try to remember to use the preview feature more often, even though it does not always show how the edited section will break on the live page. GulliverBFG 03:41, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
- Ah, apologies if I came off as rude or bossy, I certainly didn't intend to (sorry if I sounded like the Wiki Police, too). I'm interested to see what you mean by breaking, though - I generally find previewing shows up whatever code I've butchered fairly well (particularly when I've botched a table, for instance) so it would be good to know if things are showing up different on my end for some reason. Oh and user talk pages are sort of like a message board for each wiki user, very similar to how you would use the talk page on an individual article. --Scribo 13:22, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
