The Story

The guilds name originates within a series of books currently still being written. The books are about two different worlds. The real world (being our world) and the magical world, which is called Egreidor. Egreidor is an adaptation of the Latin verb egredior, which means I go or come out forth; march or step out, I disembark, land, I ascend, mount ext... it basically means to move forward of sorts. The story goes that once there were two worlds. One of which where magic existed, and the other of which, there was none. After the assassination of the elven princess, a war erupted against all the twelve kingdoms of Egreidor. One of the Kings of man went to meet a sage (superior beings with immense magical powers) in secret. This sage had allegedly found a portal of sorts. It was a gateway to a different place. So the king being a coward, escaped the realm of Egreidor with his people. But, something unintentional happened at this moment. The king was betrayed by the sage and was badly wounded. The sage did not believe a coward such as the king should be allowed to escape destiny. The king escaped the sages clutches and traveled to a place by horse where death was said to reside. The king made a deal with death. He would give the lives of his family and nobles if he was given a power to defeat the sage who betrayed him. Death was surprised by this mans offer. Death willingly gave the king his desired power. But Death was not to be trusted. He gave the king an uncontrollable power. He raged through out the land slaughtering every living creature. He even killed his own people by mistake. seeing an impossible threat to defeat the Sage escaped with the remaining people leaving the king in the dark. But with the departure of the people, the king sent spies. They would fulfill the kings wishes for the sages death. For the spies would be the Honour of Egreidor
