Guild Summary
Knights of Finland was founded by Legendvotton and Macatrox as a community for Finnish speaking Spiral Knight players. The only requirement we demand from potential members is that they either speak Finnish as a native language or atleast are very fluent with it.
As of 22.7.2013 we also demand that potential members be atleast 13 years old (this is also in ToS).
We have a Steam group : http://steamcommunity.com/groups/SK-Fin
Joining Knights of Finland
Contact one of our officers or guild masters. Be aware though that our guild is almost constantly full so entering can be difficult. We are trying our best to improve situation by being more effective with inactive cleanups.
Ranks
- Recruit
- New members start as recruits and remain so until atleast 1 week.
- Member
- When recruits have achieved Knight-Elite rank, they are promoted to Member (but not before 1 week has passed since joining).
- Veteran
- Members who have achieved Vanguard rank.
- Officer
- Unlike other ranks, potential officers have to prove themselves to be somewhat skilled players. Current test is soloing Vanaduke with maximum of 1 (one) death. Proof is required either by submitting picture before and after battle where amount of energy is visible or a video of battle.
Before promotion to officer, an interview is conducted where members motivation to be an officers is asked and somekind of specific duty is possible designated. As of 22.7.2013, only Vanguards are eligible for promotion to officer.
- Guild Master
- As a general rule, we are no longer appointing new guild master. Under special circumstances, a guild meeting can be arranged where we might appoint a new guild master.
A 15th of December Amendment
Veterans who are deemed invaluable to the guild can also be promoted to officer by a positive vote of 1/3 of guild masters.
Guild Storage
Do NOT use guild storage for selling materials or gear ! Member+ storage is intended for new players who need good starting equipment. Only remove materials that you need for either crafting or Monstrous Research mission.
Veterans are free to give items from storage to anyone (especially new players who need good equipment). Member+ storage has Standard Supply Packs to use in prestige missions (Supply Delivery).
Mist Well
Use your mist wisely! Just because you can have more mist doesn't mean you should waste it for 100+ energy revive in T1 levels. Rage crafting with mist well is also not tolerated although it may be difficult to draw the line. If you do withdraw mist and are unable to use it then crafting 2* gear and putting it in guild storage is much better than logging off with 100 mist.
Due to some abuses, recruits are currently unable to use mist well. We are looking for alternative options to help new players progress.
Entering Knights of Finland (gm/officers must read this)
Player who wants to enter Knights of Finland is summoned into out Guild Hall. Here, a guild master or officer conducts an interview where following questions are asked.
- What is you age ?
- Players under 13 are disqualified.
- Have you been in our guild before ? Why did you leave ?
- Players who were kicked for breaking rules may be disqualified. Black list is maintained of players who are no longer welcome.
- How long have been playing SK ? Other MMO experience ?
- Doesn't affect eligibility to join, just to give some idea how much guidance a recruit is likely to need.
- What kind of contribution can you give for our guild ?
- Some kind of answer is required. Answer given should be noted and preferably written down somewhere.
Rules for guild masters and officers
Behavior unbecoming of officer/guild master will be investigated and serious conversation between offender and other participants is held. Repeated bad behavior (3+ times) will lead to temporary demotion. Continues bad behavior results in removal from guild.
If a guild master or officer seems to be suited for some special duty, he/she may be designated for it. These will be decided in meetings.
Other rules
Begging is not tolerated and will result in a warning or removal from guild in case of repeated violations. Loaning or trading is acceptable (but loans must be payed back in time).
Members are supposed to be active players. Two (2) months of inactivity results in removal from guild for recruits and members. However, if the guild is full and someone wants to join, then members and recruits will be removed according to length of offline period (longest offline will be removed first).
Veterans are allowed to be offline for four (4) months and officers for six (6) months. Guildmasters are never removed for inactivity.
Rules of good behavior for guild master and officers apply for everyone, they are just especially important for those of higher in guild hierarchy.
