Event Week!

There has been some changes made to the order of events, at the beginning of the month. We are changing the Attendance Check and other guild events, from the first of the every month, to the first week of every month. It will be referred to as, "Event Week" (If anyone has any better names, please let us know).

How "Event Week" works...

  • Spanning over the weekdays (that's Mondays to Fridays), the monthly "Event Week" consist of organized events, made by the higher Officers and Guild Masters of the guild, for guildies of Gaming Knights and everyone else to participate. Some of the organized events are only available for certain days, like Mondays only; Thursday and Fridays only; etc..
  • The monthly "Event Weeks" always begin in the first Monday of the month, so it can begin in different weeks, depending on the calendar layout.
  • If you do not own one of the requirements in the boxes below and you cannot obtain them within the time for the event, we will allow you to wear armor or helms that resemble or are equal in stats in place of the required items. This will not be a reoccurring thing so please, gather the requirements as soon as possible!

We will also try to conduct the Attendance Check throughout this week, so if you can't be on during Monday and Tuesday, you will still be checked of as being active. However, the main days we will have it are Mondays and Tuesdays. If you are not familiar with these events, please refer to the details of the available events below. Also, if anyone has any ideas on guild events, please refer to either Head GM, Gamer-Troopa or Head Officer, Cool-Knight.

Sadly, some people can't be on during this time, so if you can't, let the Head Officers or GMs know and we will arrange for you a small Event Week for you. It will be purposed to be just for you, but if others can't be on during regular Event Week, or you just want to join for more fun, you may join as well! We can't leave anybody behind, so expect Event Week to come to everybody!

We have decided that there will be 2 times for you to do an event a day, Once with GM Gamer-Troopa (Gamer's group should start around 4:00pm SGT) and once with GM Jonbottron (Jon's group should start around 7:00pm EST). There is no set time that we start a certain event, as long as there's 3 people that want to do it, we will start. If you do not make it in time for the signing up period, better luck next time, the only other time you will be able to do an event not on the event day, is during Fridays of Event Week. Below is a link to convert our time zones into your time zone: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html

Any guildies that have a friend that may want to join, tell them come on! We don't discriminate here, so ALL people are allowed to join in the festivities.

"Due to the changes made during the "Battle Sprites" update, as of 30th July, there will be changes made to the guild missions hosted, to accommodate the new changes made in the update." Gamer-Troopa

We try to make Event Week a fun and festive time for everyone in the guild and in the community so be excited when the first of the month comes! :D

Available Events...

This is the list of all the guild events, that are officially available to all Gaming Knights members, and everyone else:

Monthly Meeting (Mondays; Tuesdays)

For the higher Officers and Guild Masters, this event allow us to organize personal meetings, and discuss everything that has happened in Gaming Knights the past month and SK in general, so make sure you attend!

  • Venue(s): "Gaming Knights" guild hall; Meeting Room (F1)

Guild Monthly Check (Mondays; Tuesdays)

A guild spot-check that allows us to take records of the majority of GK, as well as getting familiarized with each other in the day of the spot-check. It is also the event that allows us Officers and Guild Masters to demote/kick those who are inactive for a few months or so. Be sure to attend and introduce yourself to the guild.

  • Venue(s): "Gaming Knights" guild hall; Guild Lobby (F1)

ACHF (Anything Could Happen Friday) News show! (Fridays only)

This particular event is a humorous "news show", whereby the hosts will throw in a gimmick, which will affect how you will play SK throughout the day (For Example: Breaking News: We just got word that the number of Slimes has dropped drastically, meaning you cannot kill any jellies for the remainder of the year. (all gimmicks last until the end of Friday)). The point of the news show is for you guys to have a fun way to pick which Guild Event you liked the most during the week and add more excitement to the event as well. So heads up and be prepared for the gimmicks, when the day comes. ^^ (Gamer-Troopa)

Speedrun Challenge! (Mondays - Fridays)

"Legend has it, that there exist a community of Spiralians, who devoted their lives to their made-up sport, which they would refer to as 'Speedrunning'. They devote their lives to finish expeditions as quickly as possible, even if they were to defy normal ways of thinking." Gamer-Troopa

The "Speedrun Challenge", which is available during the Event Weeks, is a fast-paced sport, that pits guildies of Gaming Knights, and other knights, to finish expeditions as quickly as possible, setting the fastest time record for many others to challenge. Prepare your equipments and get your gaming senses on, because it's time to speedrun; Every second COUNTS!

Le Rules of Speedrunning...

  • The goal of each course, is to finish the expedition as quickly as possible, even if it means defying the normal ways of thinking. Like:
*Taking damage to save time or gain a speed boost;
*Ignoring monsters, treasure boxes, and other stuffs;
*...or die trying to get the fastest time. :P
  • You are allowed to use any equipment of your choice, in any speedruns.
  • You are allowed to perform either a solo speedrun, or a party speedrun, with up to 4 members per party. When you finish a speedrun, your name, including the other party-members' names will be recorded as well as your own/party's record time.
  • You are allowed to specify "Special Rules" in your speedruns. "Special Rules" includes:
*Pacifist - No enemies are killed during the speedrun.
  • For those who are recording the time taken, please use the online Stopwatch, provided with a link: http://www.online-stopwatch.com/ To use it, click start to begin recording time. As soon as the Lap's finishing point has been reached, click pause, record the time, before you reset the stopwatch and record the next lap's time. Starting and Finishing points are stated in the Courses' details below. Also, intermissions between depths in speedruns are not recorded.
  • There are no rewards for completing the speedruns, other than having fun and a heck of a time; enjoy yourself as you aim for the fastest time possible!
  • Deaths, including Revives, are allowed.
