Coliseum Crucible Terms and Conditions
From SpiralKnights
Terms and Conditions
All players using the Coliseum Crucible are still subject to the Terms of Service for Spiral Knights. Any breech of these terms can/will result in disciplinary action including removal from the game.
We expect knights to use common sense, consideration, and reasonable behavior when interacting with the Crucible community. Together, you make the editor/creator community an enjoyable experience for everyone.
Do not abuse any game mechanics or issues with the editor. Sometimes bugs or oversights in the game design or editor may occur. Players are expected to report the issue immediately and not take advantage of it. Exploiting, publicizing or encouraging others to exploit bugs, design oversights, or other issues is not acceptable.
Grey Havens reserves the right to update any of our Crucible Terms and Conditions as the need arises. Players are expected to keep up to date on any changes mentioned in the Crucible Announcements forum.
Editor Information
All tools within the editor are provided as-is. This is a sandbox area with many known issues, but is open for testing to those who opt in. Knights should expect to come across bugs and/or oversights which may or may not be fixed. Please work together to find ways utilize the editor so it works for your creations. You can ask for help from your fellow Crucible members in the Editor Tool Tips & Tricks Forum.
The Coliseum Crucible section of the wiki is a work in progress. Helpful information on how to use the editor can be found there or in the forums noted above. If you have helpful information to add to the wiki, please feel free to make article contributions. If you need help with the wiki, feel free to ask a wiki editor for guidance in the Wiki Editors Forum Forum.
Testing Information
When joining the Crucible community, you are encouraged to help test any public levels you'd like to. You do not need to create levels in order to test them for others or provide helpful feedback to a creator. Appeals for testing help can be found on the Lockdown Level Testing forum.
Testing your level is critical in order to make a level that might enter the game. You're encouraged to put your level through multiple tests with multiple different people. You can post on the forums requesting help/feedback, but we also encourage you ask your friends and guild mates for help testing.
Submission Information
Do not submit any level unless/until you are fully satisfied with it and it has been tested multiple times by multiple people.
Once your level is submitted you cannot make any additional changes to it. This is why it's critical that you put it through rigorous testing.
Review for your level will take time, so please be patient. If your level is accepted, it might one day make it into the game. Acceptance is not a guarantee that you'll see it in game, only that it meets the current guidelines and standards.
If your level is rejected, that could be for any number of reasons. You will not receive any feedback from the admins, so you'll need to ask community members for help in identifying what caused your submission to be rejected. Some reasons could include: Missing tiles, missing required components like gates or force-fields, using items no longer allowed, misconfiguring items, incomplete overall feel, places where knights can be stuck/lost, etc
We reserve the right to accept/reject any level for any reason. We also may later change our minds about a level and remove it for any reason. The decision for what is allowed in the game belongs to Grey Havens and they are the final say on any and all decisions. This includes the ability to change any policy or allowed items.
