★★★★☆
Offenses:
Damage type(s) and Attack Speed influence combat. The attack style of the weapon in relation to the combat environment is also important. Consider both when choosing weapons to wield.

Stats

Abilities:
Boosts and Penalties are both considered "abilities" in general. Many items don't have any special abilities. See the Abilities page for details. Some enemies are immune to certain status conditions - see individual status pages for details.

Faust charge attack

Basic Attack

Two-hit combo which comes out and recovers relatively quickly. It has a medium range. Can cause curse status to an enemy on the second hit.

Charge Attack

The knight takes a small step back and takes a wide swing with the sword, which emits a Gran Faust-shaped energy beam which primes for a moment before flying forwards a fair distance before detonating. This beam travels through monsters and over gaps. The sword swing, beam and detonation all deal damage.

The charge attack has a chance to inflict curse on both the enemy and the user. Self-curse will last 40 seconds without resistances.

Damage

The following damage values represent the weapon at its completed level, without any bonus from other equipment, and listed as a range found from the first to last floor of each stratum.

Notes

Faust and Gran Faust are named after the German Faust folktale, in which a man sells his soul to the devil for power and knowledge.

While Faust's speed bar is longer than Avenger's, it seems that it is just a mistake. The two swords swing equally quickly. It is also worth noting that Faust's charge time is significantly shorter than Gran Faust's.

Gran Faust and Faust are the only player weapons that inflict the curse status.

Faust was available when the game launched (in release 2011-04-04), and has not changed significantly since then.
