Howlitzers are the undead version of Gun Puppies. Not only are they creepier, they will also attempt to make a kamikaze attack by firing their explosive skulls at knights when they are about to die, so it is advised to gun them from a distance, and shield before they explode. Like Gun Puppies, Howlitzers will shoot 3 bullets at tier 2 and 5 at tier 3.

Traits

An official concept of a Howlitzer

Howlitzers are the undead version of Gun Puppies. Not only are they creepier, they will also attempt to make a kamikaze attack by firing their explosive skulls at knights when they are about to die, so it is advised to gun them from a distance, and shield before they explode. Like Gun Puppies, Howlitzers will shoot 3 bullets at tier 2 and 5 at tier 3.

Unlike all other undead, Howlitzers CAN be inflicted with curse; however, they do resist sleep like other undead.

Strategy

Howlitzers are considered to be one of the harder turrets, due to its kamikaze attack after defeating it. Avoid killing more than one at the same time because of this, or you'll definitely have a gigantic kamikaze moment. There are a number of ways to dealing with its kamikaze attack. One way is shielding yourself while it is charging you. Another way is destroying it afar using a gun to damage it (though there is a brief period between the monster's defeat and the kamikaze launch where it is impervious to damage.) Like a Rocket Puppy rocket, flying Howlitzer heads detonate at a set time after launching, so nimble knights may be able to circle the projectile and evade its homing capabilities until it self-destructs.
