Strategy

  • Part of the reason why Jellies are such a challenge is down to the fact that they are one of the few monsters in the game to never "turn" (they are always facing towards the screen). Because of this, a Jellies' movements are often difficult to predict regarding who the Jelly is aggressing against when surrounded by them while in a Team, especially if one (or many) stop to attack a player in a team of 4. Although it is possible to determine who the Jelly is targeting if it is moving towards a Knight, so it may be a good idea to try and keep a group of aggressing Jellies walking in a straight line, or in a circle around a large area. Any form of knock back (the third strike on any 3-strike sword, Heavy swords, charge attacks and Shield-bumps) is usually enough to nullify any aggressing Jelly.
  • Jellies generally have a short attack range, however they are capable of jumping a short distance towards a Knight before attacking, which can be easily blocked and shield-bumped. In T2 and T3 they can also perform a Thorn attack under a Knight's feet, which are often slightly difficult to spot, but momentarily leaves the Jelly open to close-range attacks.
  • Royal Minis and Jelly Green Minis can be a true nightmare if you allow them to build up their numbers. A mini jelly swarm can block your movement, your attacks, charge attacks, as well as easily breaking your shield if all attack at once. Thankfully, due to their incredibly low amount of health, a good sword will make easy work of thm.

Trivia

Rock Jelly Cube in Lockdown match
  • As the Rock Jelly Cube can spawn in the place of any stone block, there is a chance of finding one during any Lockdown match that includes stone blocks. This may be a bug or purely intentional.
  • Nick's avatar on the forums and In-Game prestige badge is an Impostocube.
