Guild Summary

1 Corinthians 10:31 says, "Therefore, whether you eat, drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." This includes gaming. Thus, the purpose of this guild is to give glory to God while playing Spiral Knights and, in so doing, spread a good witness for our Lord by our presence.

How to Join

If you would like to join the Knights of Christ, send an in-game email to Guildmaster Thinslayer or any of the Officers with the following information:

  • In-game username
  • Forum username
  • Time zone
  • Tier clearance
  • Mission rank
  • Estimated playtime (i.e., are you new?)

Guild Rules

Since we are ambassadors for Christ, this guild has high behavioral expectations of its members:

  • Abide by the Terms of Service.
  • If you give, make it a gift; loans are prohibited.
  • Foul language is prohibited.
  • Be civil, polite, and friendly at all times. Especially friendly. Make other guildmates feel at home by greeting them, saying goodbye, and being sociable. This makes both the game and guild far more fun.
  • Begging for stuff from other players is discouraged.
  • Use proper spelling and grammar when possible.
  • Refrain from discussing unsavory or impolite subjects.
  • Scamming other players is prohibited.
  • Trolling is prohibited.
  • Most importantly, be a good Christian!

All of these conduct rules are also enforced on the Spiral Knights Forums. Disciplinary actions may include being ignored, demoted, or removed from the guild.

Additional rules:

  • Donate at least 10% of your crowns to the Guild Treasury every Wednesday. If you can't do it Wednesday, just make sure you donate. We aren't picky about how you calculate that 10%, but be honest with yourself. Keep in mind that the donations go only toward making the Guild and Guild Hall better. Donations of materials (boss materials for trophies especially) in addition to crowns are very much appreciated as well.
  • To keep an active and fun guild, we do remove members who are inactive for over three (3) months. If you are going to be gone for awhile, let one of the Officers or Guildmasters know. We can usually work something out with you.

Guild Promotions

Moving up the ranks in our guild is fairly simple:

  • Recruit: Claim to be a Christian, and join the guild! Gain a fellowship of like-minded people to hang out and adventure with.
  • Member: Offered after demonstrating godly behavior and remaining active for at least one week. Gain access to Member storage.
  • Veteran: Granted upon paid room rental and at least a month of active membership. Gain access to Veteran Storage, your very own room, the ability to change the Message of the Day (MOTD) and the ability to access Design Mode and edit the guildhall (do not abuse).
  • Officer: Given to members who have demonstrated exceptional godly behavior and have passed the test of time. Gain access to Officer storage, chat channel (/o), powers and prestige (do not abuse), ability to publish the Hall's changes, and the Birdsong Emporium of guild furnishings.
  • Guild Master: Requires a unanimous vote from all active Guild Masters.

Note: Begging for promotions will not help you get them. Reminders are okay, but in general, be patient.

Other Information

"Being active" is defined as having logged on for a decent amount of time (at least half an hour of play) at least once per week. To check your Tier clearance, click on the "Character" button and click on the "Progress" tab. It should be listed under "Special Assignments." To check your rank, click on the "Missions" button and look at the bar with blue filling on the top of the window.

Regarding room rentals: To earn the Guild rank of Veteran, a member must rent a room in the Guild Hall for 2,500 crowns once a week. Multiple rooms being rented at the same time takes care of the Guild upkeep cost per week so that donations go toward improving the guild and not just maintaining it. This can lead to a many-floored Guild Hall that is truely the Guild's center of activity. If you are thinking about renting a room, please add furniture to it to make it look nice and be truely yours (for example a bed and chairs or a large decoration such as a Crash Pod). A room is just empty space unless it has has furnishings which add character and personality to the room. If you don't think you can buy the furniture at the time, then you may want to wait a little while before renting the room.

Multiple members may jointly rent a room. Each member must contribute to the rent each week, and each member must have a say in its naming and decoration.

Don't be shy! Feel free to ask questions about anything you don't fully understand. See you in the Clockworks!
