This page is a compendium of information regarding Spiral Knights Lore. Note: The lore may not be complete as there are many things unsaid in the game's lore, and the game's story didn't exactly end.

Great Colony

The Great Colony is home to the Gremlins loyal to their cause. They respect their king, King Tinkinzar, who is guarded by his Crimson Order. Some gremlins, however, do not wish to be a part of their King's cause, causing them to flee to Emberlight. The Gremlins guard the Clockworks for selfish reasons, when previously they guarded it to keep the Sleeper safe from the Swarm.

Lost Souls of Almire

The Lost Souls of Almire are the ghosts of the Almirian Crusaders who haven't been reanimated. They have fallen with Lord Vanaduke and his kingdom. Almirian Crusaders are very similar to Knights.

Vog

In Spiral Knights, Vog is some kind of Fire deity. Vog seems to have a connection to Wolvers, because of the Vog cubs shown in the preview videos. The Vog itself is not a wolver. The Vog Cub Coat, Vog Cub Cap and Fang of Vog is related to it.

Spiral HQ

Spiral HQ is the board of operations for the Spiral Order. After the Skylark crashed, the ships Tearium core exploded, leaving the ship powerless. The Strangers were generous and decided to help the Knights repair their ship to go back home. Spiral HQ discovered a mysterious source of power called Energy, pulsing from Cradle's Core. Spiral HQ's goal is to collect this power deep within the Clockworks.

Skylark

The Skylark is a spaceship that is operated by the Spiral Knights. The ship crashed on the planet Cradle and is currently nonfunctional, primarily due to the loss of its Tearium core. The crew of the Skylark, led by Captain Ozlo, had been seeking power to save their homeworld, Isora, and turn the tide of the Morai Wars, so they traced a powerful source of Energy to Cradle. The ship was observing the planet when it arrived and had completed a partial scan of the surface. As the ship was about to prepare for landing, the Skylark was unexpectedly attacked by heavy firepower on the planet's surface. The Skylark was damaged, and fell towards Cradle upon its destruction, ultimately resulting in its crash on the surface. Ozlo ordered an immediate evacuation to everyone onboard via the escape pods before it exploded. The attack and the crash critically damaged the ship's Tearium core, resulting in an explosion and a loss of part of the ship. The Skylark's escape pods were activated in time to provide a safe landing for a number of Knights that were later directed to the Rescue Camp by Spiral HQ. With the help of these rescued Knights, Spiral HQ is attempting to salvage the battered ship and repair the Skylark so they can get off Cradle and use it to win the Morai Wars, and save Isora. The Ship does have a backup core, which was salvaged, but barely has enough power to run the Ship, and is used as the generator for the Lab.

The Artifact

The Artifact is a mysterious object that gremlins desire. They claim that it possesses great power. Its body appears to be composed of faceted discs that rotate and flash. A faint blue light pulses softly around it. Two locations in the Clockworks feature a strange round console related to The Artifact. The end of the Royal Jelly Palace has what appears to be a broken console. Another console in the depths of the Firestorm Citadel is operational. The Artifact is first encountered at the end of 1-2 Interface-icon-PvE.png Mission: The Ancient Generator after defeating Schemer Razwog's Battle Pod. After restoring power, The Artifact is in the care of Rhendon, both in the Rescue Camp and the 1-4 Interface-icon-PvE.png Mission: Crossing the Chasm. During this journey, Razwog appears again and manages to obtain The Artifact, only to be defeated shortly afterwards. The Artifact is stored in the The Lab for study.
