History

PDG was founded in 2008 by Bufftp in the now defunct browser game Warpfire. The clan dominated Warpfire and grew to over 300 members spanning 5 different games. Bufftp led the clan with a strong, quiet leadership that touched the lives of everyone he spoke with. He was admired greatly by friend and foe alike. As the development of Warpfire floundered, people left the game in droves leaving communication between the clan spread across the different games sparse. In 2011 Bufftp died leaving the clan scattered across the web. After his death, Bufftp's second in command at the height of PDG's glory, Chiraldragon (aka LeviathanX) established PDG in Spiral Knights and endeavors to continue his legacy of leadership, camaraderie and mentoring in honor of his fallen brother.

Clan Recruitment

  • We accept all players regardless of rank, level, experience or equipment.
  • No recruit can receive any crowns from the guild until after completing one week as a PDG recruit.
  • PDG does not require a membership fee and all monies to the guild are given on a donation basis.
  • Failure to follow any rules can and may result in a kick from the guild.

Hierarchy

Guild Rules

  • Do not Spam the ingame chat.
  • Scamming other players will get you kicked from PDG and reported to a Spiral Knights GM.
  • Please no vulgar language.
  • Do not bash members of other guilds.
  • Take responsibility for your own player development and equipment upgrades. Do not beg for crowns, CE, equipment or tabs from ANY player ... in the guild or not.
  • Be active as real life allows, if extended absence is needed, please send an in-game message to the officers.
  • Level up and upgrade your equipment!
  • Help other guild members, and other players.
  • Recruit for the clan.
  • Have fun, it is a game after all, don’t let other players get to you.
  • When using, chat, forums, or other means of communications all members need to use their ingame nickname ONLY.

Activity Requirements

While it is contrary to the desires of the leadership, in order to keep PDG a vibrant guild with active members, inactivity without notification to Officers necessitates removal from the guild ranks. If this happens to you, let us know when you are active again and we will certainly make room for you in the guild once more. Each Guild Rank has its own activity requirements ...

  • Recruit - 2 months
  • Member - 4 months
  • Veteran - 6 months
  • Officer - 1 year

Ranks and Trials

Unless otherwise specified, for all Rank Trials, the Subject of the trial may choose his equipment to best suit his play style and the requirements of the trial.

Eligiblity

Member Trials and promotions will be issued based on the in-game rank of your knight, or how far along in the Mission track you have completed. Knights who are rank of 8 or below (Defender Elite) are eligible for the Member Trials after one month of membership in PDG. Knights who are rank 9 or 10 (Champion or Vanguard) will be inducted as Members into PDG immediately and will be eligible for the Veteran Trials after two months of membership in PDG.

Recruit

While each Guild Rank has a trial or test in order to achieve, the only requirements for membership in PDG is to abide by the values of the guild. No player will be expelled from PDG for not passing any of the trials.

Member Trials

When you have proven to an officer that you have the ability to fight independently without others' help and have been an active Recruit for at least one month, you may request an Officer run you through one of the Member Trials. Advancement to Member requires completion of one of the following Trials.

  • Jelly King Solo Trial - A Recruit may request an Officer to accompany him to the Sovereign Slime mission (5-2) where the Officer will assist the Recruit in defeating all levels leading to the Boss level. Upon entry to the Jelly King Boss arena, the Officer will allow his character to die in order to observe the Recruit defeat the Jelly King alone. Successful completion of this trial allows one revive of the test subject.
  • Roarmulus Twins Solo Trial - A Recruit may request an Officer to accompany him to the Built to Destroy mission (6-2) where the Officer will assist the Recruit in defeating all levels leading to the Boss level. Upon entry to the Roarmulus Twins Boss arena, the Officer will allow his character to die in order to observe the Recruit defeat the Roarmulus Twins alone. Successful completion of this trial allows one revive of the test subject.
  • Completion Reward: 400CE

Veteran Trials

When you have proven to leadership that you have the ability to fully support (carry) T1 or T2 Members in difficult areas, follow the values of the guild and have been an active Member (rank) for at least one month, you can request an Officer to run you through the Veteran Trials. Advancement to Veteran rank requires two of these trials to be completed.

  • The Gauntlet Solo Trial - A Member may request an Officer to accompany him to The Gauntlet mission (9-2) where upon entry to the mission the Officer will allow his character to die in order to observe the Member defeat The Gauntlet alone. The test subject may revive himself up to two times.
  • Firestorm Citadel Team Trial - A Member may request an Officer and two other players to accompany him to The King of Ashes mission (9-3). Successful completion of the test requires:
    • All players accompanying the test subject must be in T1 or T2 gear as defined by Lockdown requirements.
    • All members of the team must be revived in a reasonable amount of time, and at a minimum at the start of each Party Button.
    • The party must complete all levels of the Firestorm Citadel, except defeating Lord Vanaduke is not a requirement for this trial.
    • The test subject may not be revived by mist or CE at any time, but can be revived by his team mates as necessary.
  • Firestorm Citadel Solo Proto Trial - A Member may request an Officer to accompany him to the King of Ashes Mission (9-3). Upon entry into each level the Officer will allow his character to die in order to observe the test subject defeat the Firestorm Citadel alone. The test subject may revive himself twice. Successful completion of the test requires:
    • The test subject must wear the Proto Helmet and Proto Armor and a 3-star or lower shield.
    • The test subject must enable Full Inspect mode so the Officer may verify that he is using qualified equipment.
    • The party must complete all levels of the Firestorm Citadel, except defeating Lord Vanaduke is not a requirement for this trial.
  • Lord Vanaduke Solo Trial - A Member may request an Officer to accompany him to L28 of the Firestorm Citadel. Upon entry into the boss arena the Officer will allow his character to die in order to observe the test subject defeat Lord Vanaduke alone. The test subject may revive himself one time.
