Rhendon is a Recon Knight tasked with helping knights who have survived the crash of the Skylark, guiding them to the Rescue Camp and on to Haven.

Rhendon is a recruiter for the Scarlet Scouts.^[1]

Rhendon first appears to the player via comlink; after meeting Rhendon on the Crash Site, the player is sent ahead to the Rescue Camp.

Rhendon heads a number of tutorials before reuniting with the player in 1-4 Mission: Crossing the Chasm, assisting them in reaching Haven.

A bit later, Rhendon has a small role accompanying the player into the first depths of the Battle Sprites missions. He appears again 4-2 Mission: A New Threat.

...come in, PLAYERNAME, are you there? This is Recon Knight Rhendon!

I'm here, what happened?

Rhendon

You just hit the surface of Cradle. My escape pod crashed just north of your position. We should meet up and find the nearest rally point.

Be careful and ready your sword, there are hostile creatures everywhere!

Roger that, Rhendon. I'm heading your way!

(When you meet up)

Rhendon

PLAYERNAME! Am I glad to see you! This place is so alien, I'm happy to see a familiar face and not another hostile.

Glad to see you in one piece as well, Rhendon. Where are the other survivors?

Rhendon

I've established a comlink with Knights that have formed a Rescue Camp up ahead. If you head north, you should eventually reach it.

I'm going to stay here for now and locate any other Knights that have crashed in the area. I'll meet you at the Rescue Camp before sunset.

And should you encounter anything really dangerous, press <Controls> to use your shield!

I'll scout ahead then! Be careful, Rhendon. (ends dialogue)

Mission: Should You Choose to Accept

Rhendon

Well, looks like we're in quite a bind here, PLAYERNAME. There's plenty of work to be done to get this camp up and running, so you've now been authorized to receive missions! You can find any available missions in the Activities bar.

Missions?

Rhendon

Missions range from dangerous combat engagements to talking to certain people, such as myself. By completing missions, you'll earn progress towards new ranks, which will in turn give you access to increasingly powerful gear. Greta informed me that you'll be tackling our power supply problem in the Ancient Generator?

Yes, that's right.

Rhendon

Well, keep your wits about you. If the surface of this world is crawling with monsters, who knows what you'll find down there in the dark!

Rescue Camp

When arriving at the Rescue Camp, Rhendon's dialogue is the same as 1-1 Mission: Should You Choose to Accept. After the player completes the 1-2 Mission: The Ancient Generator, The Artifact is next to Rhendon in the Rescue Camp. He says:

What the heck do you think this thing is, PLAYERNAME? Must be important if that Razwog guy got so bent out of shape when you snatched it.

Serves him right for trying to kill you and all!

Mission: Crossing the Chasm

This dialogue involves Razwog and Rhendon. It occurs over a series of events in the 1-4 Mission: Crossing the Chasm.

Razwog

Thought you could just walk away with the artifact did you? Hand it over now or I'll light this fuse and turn you into a million, tiny, smoldering bits!

Rhendon

Looks like we've got no choice, PLAYERNAME. This gizmo isn't worth dying over.

Razwog

Perfect! I'll keep the artifact and burn you to the ground all the same!

After a large explosion:

That devil!

The whole place is coming down! We need to find a way to put this fire out now!

After passing through the damaged area:

Razwog

What?! You're still here?!

This artifact is mine! You miserable knights will never have its power!

I'll just have to destroy you myself!

(Please Wait)

After defeating Razwog, inspecting his body reveals:
"There is a strange crimson symbol on Razwog's clothing."

After stepping on the Party Button:

Rhendon

Thanks, PLAYERNAME. I thought we were done for back there.

Let's get the artifact back to Spiral HQ before someone else tries to nab it.

Alright, PLAYERNAME, let's get started. Looks like you and I get to go on a little sprite hunt, eh?

I've aligned my tracker with the recon knight intel but something's not right. The energy signature I'm detecting is erratic, but still definitely a battle sprite. They may be in trouble, so let's hurry!

What the- are these... battle sprites? Something has happened to them, they've changed into some kind of creature.

Rhendon

They seem friendly. In fact they seem to behave just like the battle sprites I know. Only difference is they, uh, well, look like dragons.

Hey, it looks like one of the sprites has taken a liking to you! Well, let's not let that extra power go to waste, I'll stay here and protect these sprites. You use your new friend to help clear the rest of the area of hostiles.

I'll stay here and protect these sprites. Some of these sprite transport crates are empty. I think someone or something is after them.

How about this place, huh? Looks like some kind of old rail station overrun with restless spirits. What an odd place to find underground.

Anyway, we better head to the cache of sprites fast given what we found back in the Sunset Steppes.
