Traits

Slag guards are only found in the throne room of the Firestorm Citadel, and even then only when spawned by either Vanaduke or Darkfire Vanaduke on his final stage. They appear to be slag walkers in a special suit of armor, and they attack by randomly charging into knights, doing massive physical damage in the process (they are the only undead monsters to do no shadow damage on tier 3). The cursed dreadnaught variation has the distinction of being one of only two monster types (the other being carnavons) that can inflict the curse status, making them an even more dangerous addition to the battle.

Strategy

The typical strategy for these monsters is simply to always keep an eye on them. Unlike standard monsters who attack based on how close you are and your actions, these monsters will aggro to any person and attack based on a timer instead of actions. The best method to taking down these tricky foes is to simply watch and wait for them to charge and then you move out of their way and attack their back. Also note on performing a charge, they will turn around to face their target very fast, which makes it very tricky to land hits alone. You may need a teammate to help attack if you can't do it fast enough yourself.
