Guild Summary

The Sklay Elite is one of two guilds run by the podcast hosts Latisan Sklay and Lord Hood. As the primary guild, The Sklay Elite serves as the home for many guild-less knights involved in the Sklay Elite community.

Reruitment and Promotion

In order to join this guild, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must be at least somewhat active in-game (once a week).
  • You must have an agreeable attitude when interacting with other members of the guild.
  • You must be mature and considerate.
  • You must have done at least one of the following:
    • Had an idea or creation featured on the Arsenal Podcast.
    • Subscribed to our Youtube channel.
    • Left us an iTunes review.
Recruit
[A sprite yet to be angered into Devilitism]
  • Dedication inquiry accomplished by means of a few questions.
  • Be suggested by an active member.
Member
[You are a Grunt, Throw office chairs and staplers to your most passionate desire]
  • A day or two after recruitment without any warnings or issues.
  • Having read this page. (Know the rules & regulations section below very well)
  • Get to know a few of the officers and other members.
Veteran
[You are an Overtimer you've worked efficiently enough to impress your pit boss AND you get a complimentary pitchfork!]
Must be competent in tier 2. For this you must complete all three parts. These parts are the missions:
  • "The Sovereign Slime"
  • "Built to Destroy"
  • "The Return or Ur"
Rules for all parts of the Veteran's test
  • In order to take the Veteran's test, you must ask an Officer or Guild Master to take it. They will provide directions for you to follow.
  • All parts have a time limit of 45 minutes.
  • You can revive twice during the entire test. This means that you must complete one part without reviving! Any more than that will result in failing the test. The current mandatory waiting period between tests is 2 weeks.
  • You must destroy all monsters, boxes and crystals in the level.
  • You must be assessed by an officer or a guild master to validate the test. They will be fallen during the run so they can observe you.
  • After completing the test, the guild members will cast their vote on whether you shall be promoted. This is accomplished by a vote-point system. To be counted as having the guild's trust, you must gain a total of 8 points. Each rank has a different number of points that are given. Recruits can not participate in this vote. Member's votes count as 1 point. Veteran's votes count as 2 points. Officer's votes count as 3 points. Guild Master's votes count as 4 points. NOTE: Any vote against you will reduce your point total. Be sure you are a good member before taking any tests!

Alternative Path To Veteran status

  • You may also achieve this rank Based on observations of you on any runs, by any of the officers, if any of us take notice to any unique play-style you show and see you survive very well on runs, and any officer may discuss anyone showing this on officer chat, and then it will be decided to promote you to a veteran.
Officer
[You are a Yesman, you have exceeded the workforce standards and proved yourself as a true devilite.]
Must be competent in tier 3. For this you must complete both parts, and have the trust of the guild council (see section "Notable Members"). These are the missions:
  • "King of Ashes" (time limit of 90 minutes)
  • "The Gauntlet" (time limit of 50 minutes)
Rules for both parts of the Officer's test
  • In order to take the Officer's test, you must ask an Officer or Guild Master to take it. They will inform the guild council and they will decide if you can or cannot take the Officer's test.
  • You can only revive once during each part of the test. Any more than one revive will result in failing the test. The current mandatory waiting period between tests is 2 weeks.
  • You must destroy all monsters, boxes and crystals in the level.
  • You must be assessed by an officer or guild master to validate the test. They will be fallen during the run so they can observe you.
  • After completing the test, you will be promoted. So be sure you are a good member before taking any tests!

Alternative path to officer

  • You May also be an officer if you have shown a good enthusiastic take on the guild and enforcing everything genuinely, and have been a notable member for a long enough time to be entrusted with the rank of officer, and have skills to lead and help the guildmaster(s) out, and have shown great loyalty among the guild.
Guild Master
[You are the Pit Boss. You represent the corporation, and without your workforce, you are nothing more than a lonely Grunt]
Due to Yakunan (our founder) no longer being active in the world of SK, she has entrusted the leadership of Devilite Inc. to Sirthomasrb, this rank is achievable, upon dedicating to manage the guild, being an elite tier 3 player with endgame gear, and being very active among playing spiral knights, and extensive knowledge in the game and its elements, this is not something labeling you as "better" it is something I prefer suitable for the guild-master status as it is necessary for helping even the lowest tier members know everything they need to know about the game, and to help them become independent, and of course as a final requirement, you must have my full trust before I even consider making you a guild-master, just as a safety measure and guarantee inquiry.

You must have plenty of experience with others. Being social is important here. Basic knowledge of the game is also a necessity as well as basic fighting and shield tactics.

Notable Members

Current Officer(s)
Current Veteran(s)
Current Member(s)

We have a "guild council" that currently consists of Sirthomasrb and the officer(s). They have the charge of determining the rules of the guild, determining who can become an officer, as well as other responsibilities.

Rules & Regulations

Even though we are a very active and social guild - as well as master trolls - there are a few things you've got to take into consideration so you don't get yourself kicked out; (If you have been kicked and want to return please see the section below)

  • Have a good attitude.
  • Be mature.
  • Be Active.
  • Respect to all members.
  • Be patient.
  • No begging.
  • No illegal activities will be tolerated. (i.e. scamming)
  • Advertising anything on guild chat must not be spammed, and should asked briefly, you may advertise more if more members log on. Just be sure to greet them first!
  • If someone is annoying you, just tell them. Preferably in a private message.
  • Don't Demand things like promotions, supervision for testing, crystal energy or crowns, it is disrespectful to the guild. We are all generous initially, but we have to care for ourselves as well.

We would like you to be active. It's not that hard just to pop in every once in a while to say hi or check on your friends. Seriously, just log in and do something. Now that we can see when each member last logged in, if you are going to be away for a long time due to something that may or may not have come up, let us know. We have no idea where you'll be so we'll assume you've left SK for good and you'll most likely be removed.

Please note: We are no longer accepting random requests to join the guild. See "Recruitment and Promotion" above for recruiting information

WE REMOVE PLAYERS AFTER APPROXIMATELY 1-2 MONTHS OF INACTIVITY. (If you come back, simply PM Sirthomasrb or an officer and we will gladly invite you back into the guild and restore you rank initially. This is not to be confused with being kicked for misconduct.)

Kicking and Reinstatement

Our hope is to never have to do this to anyone, but there have and probably will be those who cannot follow the rules. This does not fully apply to those kicked for inactivity. Only those who are kicked for misconduct. Here are the steps to being reinstated:

  • Be patient.
  • Do not spam requests to be reinstated, this can serve to delay reinstatement or even ban you from the guild.
  • Ask a guild master or officer what needs to be done for you to be reinstated.
  • Do as they request. Don't be shy about it, but remember, you don't have to be overly specific if asked for reasons behind your actions.

There is a probation period for reinstatements for a determined amount of time. Currently it is a month. This will be shown by staying at the recruit level until the probation period has ended. During probation, you will be watched closely. Any misconduct will be acted upon promptly. Violations resulting being kicked again will result in you being banned. At such point, you will not be allowed to return.

Events

We're a rather small guild, so events don't happen too often. We only try to plan events when a majority of the active players are online and not busy. Our current events consist of:

  • Races and Bets
  • Quiz Shows
  • Random Raffles for ANYTHING for ANYONE.

Guild History

Just a brief breakdown of the history.

(From Sirthomasrb's viewpoint) I have been in this guild ever since I started playing SK I first joined spiral knights around the fall of 2011, when my cousin Yakunan introduced me to the game. I was immediately made Guildmaster because of our family relation, and the guild wasn't much developed back then but still had a wide member base, was T2 Dominant and somewhere around December, we started getting into T3 more, and began to develop more rapidly, people left and new people joined, and since February, the current members I have are a delight and are highly appreciated, and I am proud to have them in my guild.

Guild Alliances

Devilite Inc. is currently in an alliance with the following guilds.
  • Infinity Prism Squad
  • Anonymous Inc.

Notices/Considerations/Status (Updated accordingly to events/status)

Devilite Inc. is recruiting T3 members right now, and is sort of inactive, and would really love to have some new members aboard to revive it to full health.
