Guild Summary

The Sklay Elite is one of two guilds run by the podcast hosts Latisan Sklay and Lord Hood. As the primary guild, The Sklay Elite serves as the home for many guild-less knights involved in the Sklay Elite community.

Reruitment and Promotion

In order to join this guild, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must be at least somewhat active in-game (once a week).
  • You must have an agreeable attitude when interacting with other members of the guild.
  • You must be mature and considerate.
  • You must have done at least one of the following:
    • Had an idea or creation featured on the Arsenal Podcast.
    • Subscribed to our Youtube channel.
    • Left us an iTunes review.
Recruit
If you're interested in joining the guild, just do this:
  • Having completed the above requirements, contact Latisan or Lord Hood with the following:
    • Your desire to join the guild.
    • Your IGN.
    • Your name or submission from the show, your Youtube name, or your iTunes name.
  • We will add you ASAP.
Member
You'll get 'auto-promoted' of sorts if you plan on sticking around and keep to these:
  • Be cool a day or two after recruitment without any warnings or issues.
  • Read this page and be familiar with the rules.
  • Get to know a few of the officers and other members.
  • (optional) Check out the Arsenal Podcast (if you haven't already)!
Veteran
On request, active TSElite community members can be promoted by:
  • Having completed all three of the following...
    • Had an idea or creation featured on the Arsenal Podcast.
    • Subscribed to our Youtube channel.
    • Left us an iTunes review.
  • ...contact Latisan or Lord Hood with the following...
    • Your desire to be promoted.
    • Your IGN.
    • Your name or submission from the show, your Youtube name, or your iTunes name.
  • We will consider and get back to you ASAP.
Officer
On request, active TSElite community members can be promoted by:
  • Having completed at least two of the following...
    • Acquired Veteran status in the guild (mandatory and counts towards total).
    • Been a guest on The Arsenal Podcast.
    • Been an explicit guest in a TSElite video. Seeing yourself in the background is not the same thing.
    • Received an explicit offer from either Latisan or Lord Hood to be an Officer (bypasses count).
  • ...contact Latisan or Lord Hood with the following...
    • Your desire to be promoted.
    • ...if you actually need to send us your IGN because we don't know it, you probably won't become an Officer. :/
    • The date of being a guest on the show or the name of the video you guested in.
  • We will consider and get back to you ASAP.
Guild Master
The only way to acquire Guild Master status is to receive an explicit offer from Latisan or Lord Hood. Feel free to ask (if you're a Veteran or higher), but if you haven't gotten an offer, it probably won't be happening.

Rules & Regulations

We are a community guild and want to treat all of our members with respect. The same rules for our videos and podcasts apply to our guild and guild chat as well. Multiple or blatant offenses may result in removal from the guild without notice. Some good guidelines to adhere to are:

  • Have a good attitude.
  • Show respect to all members.
  • Do not swear (hard to get by in-game) or pseudo-swear (easy to get by in-game).
  • Try to be helpful to other members when you can.
  • No illegal activities will be tolerated. (i.e. scamming)
  • If someone is annoying you, just tell them, preferably in a private message. Don't forget that you can "Ignore".
  • Don't demand things like promotions, crystal energy, or crowns. We all try to be generous, but we have to care for our own banks as well as yours.

If you're going into hang in the guild, we would ask that you stay somewhat active. It's not that hard to pop in and say hi from time to time, and if you're part of our Spiral Knights community, it shouldn't be terribly difficult anyway.

WE REMOVE PLAYERS AFTER APPROXIMATELY 1-2 MONTHS OF INACTIVITY. (If you come back, simply PM Latisan, Lord Hood, or another GM and we will gladly invite you back into the guild and restore you rank initially. This is not to be confused with being kicked for misconduct.)

Kicking and Reinstatement

Our hope is to never have to do this to anyone, but there have and probably will be those who cannot follow the rules. This does not fully apply to those kicked for inactivity. Only those who are kicked for misconduct. Here are the steps to being reinstated:

  • Be patient.
  • Do not spam requests to be reinstated, this can serve to delay reinstatement or even ban you from the guild.
  • Ask a guild master or officer what needs to be done for you to be reinstated.
  • Do as they request. Don't be shy about it, but remember, you don't have to be overly specific if asked for reasons behind your actions.

There is a probation period for reinstatements for a determined amount of time. Currently it is a month. This will be shown by staying at the recruit level until the probation period has ended. During probation, you will be watched closely. Any misconduct will be acted upon promptly. Violations resulting being kicked again will result in you being banned. At such point, you will not be allowed to return.

Events

We're a rather small guild, so events don't happen too often. If we're planning a guild event in-game, it will be announced on our Steam page and Twitter.

Events may include:

  • Meeting up and hanging out
  • Farming for crowns or event tokens
  • Raffles or giveaways
  • Goofy events (fashion shows, quizzes)

Guild History

Just a brief breakdown of the history.

(From Sirthomasrb's viewpoint) I have been in this guild ever since I started playing SK I first joined spiral knights around the fall of 2011, when my cousin Yakunan introduced me to the game. I was immediately made Guildmaster because of our family relation, and the guild wasn't much developed back then but still had a wide member base, was T2 Dominant and somewhere around December, we started getting into T3 more, and began to develop more rapidly, people left and new people joined, and since February, the current members I have are a delight and are highly appreciated, and I am proud to have them in my guild.

Guild Alliances

Devilite Inc. is currently in an alliance with the following guilds.
  • Infinity Prism Squad
  • Anonymous Inc.

Notices/Considerations/Status (Updated accordingly to events/status)

Devilite Inc. is recruiting T3 members right now, and is sort of inactive, and would really love to have some new members aboard to revive it to full health.
