Overview
Description:
Head Chef of the Skylark, Biscotti, has been tasked with baking cakes to celebrate the year anniversary of Spiral Knights. Something has apparently gone awry in her kitchen and she is requesting reinforcements to provide "baking assistance."
Objective:
Meet with Biscotti in her kitchen and provide 'baking assistance'.
Runthrough
First Floor
Depth: 0
This lobby is a standard lobby. An alchemy machine is to the right, and Basil is located to the left.
Environment
Map of the lobby.
Screens displaying random views of Cradle.
Second Floor
Depth: Depends on rank
Enter Biscotti's Kitchen. She will ask knights to take care of the creep cakes. After all creep cakes are defeated, take the elevator back to Haven.

Watch out for several fire grate and freeze grate hazards.

Talk with Biscotti.
Dark Matter shouldn't be used in baking.
Notes
This mission was introduced during the first Caketastrophe in April 2012.
The problems in this mission are caused by the inappropriate use of Dark Matter. The problems in the related A Gremlin in Knead mission are caused by the inappropriate use of Moonstone.
The fire and freeze grates likely are there to be reminiscent of the hazards of a real world industrial sized kitchen.
Strategy
Creep Cakes behave like the Jelly Cube monster, and are capable of inflicting fire via the birthday candles Biscotti mentioned. They move slowly but can hit hard from a decent distance.
Bring ranged offenses and a combination of piercing and normal defenses with optional Perks and Trinkets to aid the DPS of your weapons. Some fire resistance would be smart but getting inflicted with status is easily avoidable in this mission. If you are the agile type, simply equip items that grant damage bonuses, such as Chaos.
Weapons that can inflict fire, such as the Combuster, seem to dispatch creep cakes quickly.
