Total Caketastrophe! is an event-exclusive prestige mission available during Caketastrophe.

Overview

Description:

Head Chef of the Skylark, Biscotti, has been tasked with baking cakes to celebrate the year anniversary of Spiral Knights. Something has apparently gone awry in her kitchen and she is requesting reinforcements to provide 'baking assistance.'

Objective:

Meet with Biscotti in her kitchen and provide 'baking assistance'.

Notes

This mission was introduced during the first Caketastrophe in April 2012.

The plot problems in this mission are caused by the inappropriate use of Dark Matter. The problems in the related A Gremlin in Knead mission are caused by the inappropriate use of Moonstone.

The fire and freeze grates likely are there to be reminiscent of the hazards of a real world industrial sized kitchen.

Strategy

Creep Cakes behave like the Jelly Cube monster. They are also capable of inflicting fire via the birthday candles Biscotti mentions. They move slowly but can hit hard from a decent distance.

Bring ranged offense and a combination of piercing and normal defenses with optional Perks and Trinkets to aid the DPS of your weapons. Some fire resistance would be smart but getting inflicted with status is easily avoidable in this mission. If you are the agile type, simply equip items that grant damage bonuses, such as Chaos.

Weapons that can inflict fire, such as the Combuster, seem to dispatch creep cakes quickly.

First Floor

Level: Mission Lobby Depth: 0 Monsters There is no combat here. Notable Exploration Entities An Alchemy Machine is located top right. Basil is located top left. Wares include certain tier-appropriate pickups and a vitapod. Basil has recipes for sale in most mission lobbies. {{:{{{mission}}}/Basil}} Notes A place to gear up. The standard lobby is a zoomed-out Ready Room.

Second Floor

Level: Chaos in the Kitchen Depth: Depends on rank Monsters Creep Cake Mini Creep Cake Notable Exploration Entities Biscotti is located in the center. The right side features fire traps, the left side features freeze traps Notes Goal: Enter Biscotti's kitchen. She will ask knights to take care of the creep cakes. After all creep cakes are defeated, take the elevator back to Haven. Gallery Map of "Chaos in the Kitchen." Talk with Biscotti. Dark Matter shouldn't be used in baking.
