About Me

  • I'm a fairly recent player to the Spiral Knights universe, and as such, acronyms used by veteran players in reference to the game usually go over my head. I'm slightly OCD when it comes to proper grammar in my chat messages, so players who cannot spell correctly drive me insane.
  • I often give my characters Mandalorian names, as I am a bit of a Star Wars nerd.

  • The name "Beroya" means Bounty Hunter.
  • Ironically, Beroya used to be my only character, as well as the 2nd most senior officer and wiki editor of the Silent Killers. Long story short, I deleted Beroya and then recreated him amidst much confusion and ado about nothing. Confused? So am I.
  • With Beroya, I plan to go the route of a Gunslinger by equipping fast attack speed handguns and bombs. I prefer weapons that deal normal damage for their universal application against multiple enemy types.

Planned Loadout

Since I sold all of Beroya's equipment and donated the proceeds to the Silent Killers (don't ask), he doesn't have anything right now. However, I hope to secure the following loadout (or some variation of the sort) for gun-slinging fun:

Equipment-Nameless Hat icon.png Nameless Hat Increases handgun speed. Also the only gunslinger-line hat I liked the looks of.

36px Volcanic Bombhead Mask While there is no wiki page for it yet, this mask is a unique item only available by bribing King Krogmo in King Krogmo's Coliseum (The only reason I know it exists is because I saw a knight wearing one). If I can get my hands on one, I'll equip it as a helmet costume over my Nameless Hat.

Equipment-Radiant Silvermail icon.png Radiant Silvermail Once again, the Radiant Silvermail's defense against Piercing and Shadow compliments the Nameless Hats defense against Normal and Elemental. Will certainly need an armor costume, as these two sets don't really look nice together.

Equipment-Volcanic Salamander Suit icon.png Volcanic Salamander Suit Wile this armor is indeed useful, I plan to use it as an armor costume over my Radiant Silvermail armor. Of course, this depends on my being able to acquire a Volcanic Bombhead Mask to go with it. Otherwise I may go with a Vog Cub Cap.

Equipment-Swiftstrike Buckler icon.png Swiftstrike Buckler While this shield is only 3 stars and says it only increases your sword attack speed, it also boosts handgun attack speed; helping unload more lead faster.

Equipment-Argent Peacemaker icon.png Argent Peacemaker A fast-firing, anti-undead weapon. Stylish and deadly, what's not to like?

Equipment-Plague Needle icon.png Plague Needle Rapid-fire, anti-regeneration weapon. Good for suppressing large groups of enemies with healers.

Equipment-Neutralizer icon.png Neutralizer Basically a bomb-gun. Great AOE attack that will prove very useful for keeping monsters at a distance. Also useful for loading up bosses with primed charges ready for detonation.

Equipment-Graviton Vortex icon.png Graviton Vortex This bomb pulls monsters into a central location like a mini black hole. Useful for holding enemies in tight clusters that are perfect for a stream of bullets.

Jarkiv

  • The name "Jarkiv" means charisma or presence.
  • With Jarkiv, I've adopted the play style of a Berserker by equipping high-damage/slow attack speed swords and bombs.
  • On the battlefield, I like to get in close to the enemy and lay down a few bombs before switching to a sword and personally finishing off any troublesome leftovers. If I can AOE the crap out of an enemy, I'll do it.

Planned Loadout

Like most free players, I am still working towards my first piece of fabled 5-star equipment. While still a long way off, I eventually plan to secure the following loadout:

Equipment-Volcanic Demo Helm icon.png Volcanic Demo Helm

When combined with the Radiant Silvermail, the knight in question gains good protection against Elemental and Normal damage, as well as Fire; in addition to Piercing and Shadow defense. This makes for a well-rounded resistance to all damage types. Since I also favor bombs, having a medium charge time reduction bonus doesn't hurt. To match the Radiant Silvermail, I will be equipping a standard Spiral Demo Helm to the costume slot over the Volcanic Demo Helm.

Equipment-Radiant Silvermail icon.png Radiant Silvermail

Some call it a dress. I call it a full-body kilt. Radiant Silvermail provides good protection against Piercing, Shadow, Poison, and Curse. An additional low damage bonus against Undead doesn't hurt either.

Equipment-Volcanic Plate Shield icon.png Volcanic Plate Shield

Due to Spiral Knights occasional lag, I need a shield I can count on to hold against a savage assault until the connection can catch up. Since I plan on eventually fighting Vanaduke, additional fire defense is a must. The Volcanic Plate Shield offers this, plus defense against Stun; a bonus I plan on putting to good use against Lumbers.

Equipment-Triglav icon.png Triglav Charge Time Reduction: High

Take the largest most cumbersome sword in the game, change the charge attack to deal freeze damage, and give it a cool fractured texture, and you have the Triglav. Sadly, this one is going to take forever, as Basil doesn't carry the recipes for this line. Instead I'm going to be forced to grind 300 tokens from the Blast Network PVP arenas. Here's hoping it's worth it.

Equipment-Heavy Deconstructor icon.png Heavy Deconstructor

There is nothing worse in this game than being cornered by a swarm of Mecha Knights, Lumbers, and Retrodes in one of the many construct arenas. Due to my growing hatred of this particular monster class, I'm taking my revenge with this nasty piece of work. While only 4 stars, it's high damage bonus versus constructs makes it my cup of tea. Those gun puppies better watch their six.
