Nowiki

You have to close things, otherwise things get crazy. <nowiki> should always be closed by </nowiki>. -Novaster 17:07, 2 June 2015 (UTC)

I have done this for you. Be very careful using stuff like that. -Novaster 17:12, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
I need my user pages center thing correctly closed so my closing does not show -1462
Try using <center>CONTENT</center>. It should do something like this:
This is text in the center of the page.

Also, if you could sign your posts right after the line of text (instead of under it) that would be great. It's not that important. --Novaster 00:10, 14 June 2015 (UTC)

It worked! Thanks for the advice, i sign under the posts often but i occasionally do it after the line of text -1462 00:37, 14 June 2015 (UTC)

just like above ^^

-1462 00:37, 14 June 2015 (UTC)

Now how does the header template work? -1462

Status Icons

Oh and my skill is adding status icons however im not to good on templates that require quite a bit of work instead of a single string like {{stub}} (I don't really like resizing though) --1462 01:09, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

what? -Novaster 01:32, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

Which part do you not understand? -1462 01:34, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

The part where it's a "skill" and that all I've seen you do is spam it inappropriately as well as upload an irrelevant file to established filespace for curse. -Novaster 01:36, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

I do a good job at putting one in by editing is the skill part, dunno much on how I could explain my love of the curse status icon or anything else about it --1462 01:39, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

That is not appropriate for a wiki. Just because you can slap an image onto a page does not make it a "skill" or a "good job." Resizing is extremely important too. I really don't understand why you've said what you did, it's quite worrisome. I mean most of it has led to the very real, actual warnings you've received from game staff. -Novaster 01:41, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

Contacting Me

Please stop contacting me. I do not have time to babysit. The only reason I contact you now is to deal with mistakes and damage you've done. I tried to prevent behavior that would lead to the warnings you got, but this obviously failed, and you even made an alt account to do the exact things you were told not to do after you got a warning from staff. So I absolutely do not want to spend any more time here. -Novaster 09:37, 5 June 2015 (UTC)

Categories

Do not create categories for personal user use that contain little to no information pertaining to content in the mainspace. You can just do whatever you were doing with "what is known" on your user page, or even with a pencil and paper. Categories are wiki-wide and meant to be encompassing and interlinking - hence "category." Read about category usage here. -Novaster 21:26, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

Giving Warnings

Look, I know you're trying to help. Fixing typos and such is fine and great, but going around "warning" people (which you've done a few times) in this context is not appropriate. What users call "vandalism" on their own personal pages can differ drastically from what the wiki actually considers to be serious vandalism. Wikipedia's page on edit vandalism should help. In no way does someone removing/adding themselves from a guild list "compromise the integrity of our wiki." Whatever is going on in that guild with that guild's people is none of our business - you can alert staff based on what you see in the history/edit coments, sure, but don't stick your nose in and give "warnings". If users have problems, they can can contact staff too. For all you know it could be an elaborate joke they are playing on themselves. Report and move on. --Novaster 12:31, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

Don't edit/create user pages (a user page is a page that is very different than their talk page) unless it is by request, or is in clear violation of wiki protocol/spiral knights Terms of Service. You should edit them if they are using duplicate files (people often upload icons repeatedly, and that's not good) or if there is a wikiwide change to file naming, interlinking, and so on. --Novaster 22:31, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

Ok then, i just made an empty page because i needed to know how to access another users contribs-1462 22:38, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

Oh, I see. That makes sense but there is a better way - either find another user's contribs and change the name in the URL, or click history on a page that user has edited and click "contribs" next to their name. --Novaster 00:02, 14 June 2015 (UTC)

Warning

This is a notice that we consider some of your edits to be vandalism. This means you're adding nonsense to pages, duplicating existing content, removing useful content, breaking cosmetic elements of pages, or otherwise vandalizing the SK Wiki. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Further infractions may lead to a block from our wiki. Thank you. --Clotho 21:36, 31 May 2015 (UTC)

vandalism attempt

Regarding your post on my talk page: no, you should not issue warnings. If something happens that requires the attention of an administrator please report it in game via petition or on my talk page. Thank you. --Clotho 23:34, 13 June 2015 (UTC)

Yeah novaster already let me know -1462 00:04, 14 June 2015 (UTC)
